PEPTIM, in collaboration with the High Commission of India in Malaysia, celebrated Ayurveda Day on 23rd December 2025 at NSCBICC, Kuala Lumpur. The opening speech was delivered by Dr.Vivekanand, First Secretary (Commerce) on behalf of High Commissioner of India to Malaysia, H.E. Mr. B.N. Reddy. During the Keynote Address, Dr. Goh Cheng Soon, Director of T&CM Division, MOH, emphasized on the need for ethical practices and recounted her experiences in traditional medicine. The Ayurveda Day celebrations with the theme, Ayurveda for People and Planet, included cultural performances, demonstrations, health talks, Ayurveda Quiz, panel discussions and also featured Ayurveda Aahar.

Traditional & Complementary Medicine Practitioners Day 2026 was held on 8th January 2026 from 2pm-5pm at KL Wellness City Gallery, Bukit Jalil. The event was organised by KL Wellness City.

PEPTIM along with five other associations (MCMA, GAPERA, MPHM, Darussyifa’ and FCNMAM) actively participated in the event.

PEPTIM Practitioners Exchange 2025 - Connect2Heal was held on 27/09/2025 at NSCBICC, Brickfields, KL. The gathering featured more than 15 speakers who exchanged practical wisdom in their respective fields of practice. This presented an opportunity to learn from fellow practitioners across the fields of Traditional Indian medicine such as Siddha and Ayurveda. Moreover, the event was organized to build stronger networks and collaborations. In the spirit of collaboration, several invited guests graced the event including the President of MISAA.

20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) - Hybrid

PEPTIM's 20th AGM was held on 28/06/2025 at NSCBICC, Kuala Lumpur and virtually via Google Meet. During the AGM, a general election was conducted and office bearers were elected for the 2025-2027 term. Moreover, an awards ceremony was held in recognition of the practitioners' contributions to PEPTIM and Traditional Indian Medicine. Congratulations to the awards recipients and the newly elected committee.

Ayurveda & Siddha Conference -3rd PIO Day

PEPTIM in collaboration with GOPIO, High Commission of India Kuala Lumpur, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, Kuala Lumpur and FICCIM organised a conference on Siddha & Ayurveda on 12 July 2025 in conjunction with the 3rd PIO Day 2025. With the theme "The Current Trends and Future Direction for Ayurveda & Siddha Practice in Malaysia", the conference was moderated by Vaithiyar Nithyananthan. The speakers from Malaysia and India included Vaithiyar Shamini, Vaithiyar Letchmy, Vaithiyar Vasanda Kumar, Dr. Sridhar, Dr. Vanitha Muralikumar and Vaithiyar Melissa. Held at the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur, the conference was attended by over 200 participants.

SHORT COURSE FOR T&CM PRACTITIONERS

A 4-hour course was held on 10th August 2025 (9am to 1pm) at Lincoln University College. Organized by HillRiche in collaboration with PEPTIM, the Micro-Credential Course on Blood Test Report Interpretation was concise and easy to understand. The course was specially designed for T&CM practitioners, students, and wellness enthusiasts. Thank you to everyone who participated in the course. We hope you found the session valuable and it has helped boost your knowledge and confidence in attending to patients. Stay tuned for future courses.

T&CM Division, Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Health (NIH) organised a Townhall Session & Workshop on T&CM Research Priorities in Malaysia. PEPTIM President and members attended the townhall & workshop which was held on 19th September.

The Indian Community Cooperatives Conference (PKKI) 2024 was held on October 13th at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak, Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat, Kuala Lumpur. PEPTIM members promoted Traditional Indian Medicine during the event.

During the ASEAN Conference on Healthy Ageing, PEPTIM participated in a Traditional Indian Medicine exhibition. The conference was held from 30th July to 1st August 2024 at St Giles Wembley Penang. During the 3-day conference, demonstration of Traditional Indian Medicine was also performed to promote the traditional system of medicine.
