Hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism is a condition whereby the brain does not produce adequate hormones to initiate female hormonal function by the ovaries. This patient presented in 2010 with no me**es at the age of 21. Her hormone levels were found to be extremely low. An MRI was done and was normal. She was subsequently started on hormonal treatment. A diagnostic laparoscopy revealed a very small uterus. Her hormonal therapy was continued to increase the size of the uterus for me**es and pregnancy later. She started having regular me**es on hormonal pills until she came back for fertility treatment last year. We corrected her hypothyroid condition and primed the uterus to reach a good volume before starting IVF. She finally conceived after a successful blastocyst transfer recently. We celebrated the beginning of a life so beautiful i cant even describe! 🎉

IVF is a complex procedure and takes much physical and mental preparation. After a failed embryo transfer, the second embryo transfer showed bhcg levels of 48. This is usually quite low as we expect it to be more than 100 for a blastocyst transfer. That said embryo paid me a visit today.. i am blessed! ❤️ have a good day all..

Welcome to HTAR Fertility... We are a government fertility and reproductive unit in the O&G department of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR). You may make an appointment with us by getting a referral from the klinik kesihatan or any private centers. The criteria accepted for referral are:
1. Inability to conceive after trying for more than a year
2. Established fertility problems
3. Age less than 43 years old
4. Body mass index (BMI) < 35kg/m2
