When Bodyweight Squats HELP Knee Pain

Body squats are beneficial if knee pain is due to:
• Quadriceps weakness
• Glute weakness (poor hip control)
• Poor knee stability
• Sedentary lifestyle / deconditioning
• Early-stage knee pain (not acute injury)

Why they help:
• Strengthen quadriceps → supports knee joint
• Activate gluteus medius & maximus → reduces knee overload
• Improve joint control & coordination
• Increase blood flow → promotes healing

1️⃣ When to use COLD 🧊
Use it when it’s fresh, swollen, or inflamed:
✅ reduces inflammation
✅ helps sharp/acute pain
✅ lowers swelling
✅ best after a bump, fall, or injury
✅ great for sprains and strains

Relatable mistake: I once used heat right after a twist… it got puffy like a balloon 😅

2️⃣ When to use HEAT ♨️
Use it when things feel tight, stiff, or chronic:
✅ relaxes muscles
✅ helps long-term aches
✅ eases tight knots and spasms
✅ useful for a stiff neck
✅ comforting for cramps

Small tip: the right choice (cold or heat) can seriously speed up relief
