1️⃣ Persistent Fatigue:
We all get tired, but if you feel utterly drained even after a full night's sleep, your liver might be struggling to process toxins and maintain your energy balance. It's exhaustion that just won't quit.
2️⃣ Swelling in the Abdomen or Legs:
The liver helps manage fluid in the body. If your belly is feels bloated or your ankles/feet ar puffy and retaining fluid, it's a major sign of liver stress.
3️⃣ Jaundice & Dark Urine:
Jaundice is the classic sign, a yellowish tint to your skin and the whites of your eyes. This happens when the liver can't properly filter bilirubin (a yellow pigment), causing it to build up in your blood and then get excreted in dark, cola-colored urine.
4️⃣ Chronic Itchiness:
If you have an all-over itchiness that doesn't seem to have a rash, your liver could be the culprit. A buildup of bile salts under the skin, which the liver normally manages, is often to blame.
5️⃣ Easy Bruising & Bleeding:
The liver produces proteins essential for blood clotting. If your liver is unhealthy, you may bruise incredibly easily, or a small cut might take a long time to stop bleeding.
