Pulmonary Fibrosis :
Ang pulmonary fibrosis ay isang uri ng malubhang sakit na nakaaapekto sa mga baga. Nagkakaroon nito ang tao kapag ang mga tissue ng mga baga ay napinsala at nagkaroon ng mga pamemeklat.
Narito ang ilan sa mga palatandaan ng pagkakaroon ng pulmonary fibrosis:
- Kakapusan ng hininga
- Pagkakaroon ng tuyong ubo
- Labis na kapaguran
- Hindi maipaliwanag na pangangayayat at pagbagsak ng timbang
- Pananakit ng mga kalamnan at mga kasu-kasuan
- Paglapad at pagbilog ng mga dulo ng mga daliri sa mga kamay at mga paa
Ang ilan pa sa mga salik na maaaring magdulot ng sakit na ito ay ang mga sumusunod:
- Paninigarilyo
- Mga namamanang salik (genetic factors)
- Impeksyong dulot ng virus
- Pangangasim ng sikmura (ang asido na galing sa tiyan ay maaaring pumasok sa mga daanan ng hangin sa baga)

Dry Skin: Paano Malunasan (Part 2)
Ang kadalasang dahilan ng panunuyo ng balat ay dahil sa matagal na pagligo at pag-gamit ng matatapang na sabon.
Paano gagamutin:
1. I-moisturize ang balat - Ang moisturizer ay nagsisilbing pang-tapal sa balat na nakatutulong mapanatili ang magandang balat. Kung ang balat ay sobrang nanunuyo maaaring mag-apply ng oil, habang ang balat ay basa-basa pa pagkatapos maligo. Ang oil ay mas tumatagal sa balat kaysa sa moisturizer.
2. Iwasan gumamit ng matatapang na sabon - Kung may panunuyo sa balat, mas makabubuting gumamit ng cleansing creams, gentle skin cleansers, at bath o shower gels na may kasamang moisturizers. Pumili ng mild na sabon na nagdaragdag ng oil at fats. Iwasan ang deodorant at anti-bacterial detergents na matatapang.
3. Limitahan ang oras ng pag-ligo - Ang pagligo sa mainit na tubig ng mahabang oras ay naka-aalis ng oils sa iyong balat. Gawing 15 minutos o mababa pa ang pagbabad sa tubig. Gumamit lang ng maligamgam sa halip na mainit na tubig.
4. I-moisturize ang balat pagkatapos maligo - Pagkatapos maligo, dahan-dahang i-dampi-dampi ang towel para tuyuin ang balat upang manatili ang moisture sa balat. I-moisturize agad ang balat gamit ang oil o cream para ma-trap ang moisture sa balat.
5. May tulong ang aircon - Ang mainit na pakiramdam sa loob ng bahay ay nakapagpapalala ng pangangati at pagbabalat. Pumili ng aircon na kaya ng budget at pangangailangan. Siguraduhin na laging malinis ang aircon para makaiwas sa pagbuo ng bakterya at fungi.
6. Gumamit ng mga natural na tela - Ang tela gaya ng cotton, silk ay hinahayaan ang iyong balat ay makahinga. Kung lalabhan ang mga damit, gumamit ng sabon na walang pabango.
7. Kung hindi mapigilan ang pangangati kung nanunuyo ang balat - Mag-lagay ng cold compress sa mga balat na apektado.

Tinatamad ba kayo? Mag-stretch at Ehersisyo
Maraming benepisyo ang ehersisyo. Nakapagbibigay ito ng sigla, saya at nagpapaganda ng daloy ng dugo sa katawan. Kaya kung tinatamad kayo o nalulungkot, baka kulang ka sa stretch at ehersisyo sa umaga.
Ituturo ko ngayon ang simple at ligtas na paraan para mag-ehersisyo. Magsimula ng dahan-dahan para maiwasan ang muscle strain (o pilay).
Sa pag-stretch ng masel ay hindi dapat makaramdam ng sobrang sakit. Ang pakiramdam mo lamang ay ang inu-unat ng masel. Malalaman mo ito sa katagalang pag-e-ehersisyo.
Heto ang simpleng payo ko:
1. Shoulder raise - Itaas ang kamay. Parang inaabot mo ang kisame. Kailangan ay ma-stretch mo ang buong braso at balikat paitaas. Gawin ito ng 5-10 beses lamang. Pakiramdaman mo ang pag-stretch ng iyong braso at balikat.
2. Shoulder shrugs – Galawin paikot-ikot ang iyong buong balikat. Ikut-ikotin ito para lumuwag ang masel sa balikat at sa leeg.
3. Neck stretch - I-stretch ang leeg. Dahan-dahang tumingin sa kanan. I-stretch ang leeg ng 3-5 beses lamang. Pagkatapos ay tumingin naman sa kaliwa. Gamitin ang kamay para bahagyang itulak ang leeg. Pagkatapos ay tumingin naman sa itaas. Gawin ito ng 3 beses lamang. Huwag ito gawin ng sunud-sunod at baka ikaw ay mahilo. Ang mahalaga ay maramdaman mo ang pag-unat ng mga masel sa leeg.
4. Hip rotation - Ikutin ang baywang pakanan at pakaliwa. Habang nakatayo ka ng paharap, subukan mong ikutin ang baywang para makatingin sa likod. Umikot lang sa abot ng iyong makakaya. Gawin ito ng mga 3 beses sa umpisa. Sa katagalan ay puwede mo nang gawin ng hanggang 7 beses.
5. Walk in place - Ihakbang ang mga paa ng nakapuwesto sa isang lugar lamang. Parang sundalo ka na nag-ma-martsa. Itaas ang paa ng mga 1 feet habang hinahakbang ito. Gawin ito ng mga 30 segundo.
Sa katagalan ay dagdagan mo pa ng iba’t-ibang ehersisyo. Kung kaya mo na, mainam din ang stomach crunch, stationary bike, push-up at half-squat.
Tandaan: Ang matinding ehersisyo (sa gym at work-out) ay hindi dapat araw-arawin. Dapat ay may isang araw ng pahinga sa pagitan ng iyong ehersisyo. Ito ay para maghilom at makapahinga ang masel.
Pero ang mga ehersisyo na itinuro ko ay puwedeng araw-arawin. Puwede ito gawin ng bata at matatanda. Good luck po.

Destroy their biological habitats
The most important step to prevent mosquitoes from spreading is to destroy their potential breeding places. Dengue mosquitoes usually breed in stagnant or still water like buckets, unused pools, vessels, flowerpots, clogged drains etc.
Therefore, you must always keep a check on damp areas in your home and regularly clear off all sources of standing water. Also, you must never let wet waste accumulate near your house. Adopting these measures will eliminate or destroy the biological habitats of dengue mosquitoes.
Keep your surroundings clean

Wear protective clothing
This is the easiest and also the most important preventive measure you can take to protect yourself from dengue fever. You must wear fully covered clothes like full-length sleeves or pants to cover up every inch of your body. This will minimize the area of your exposed skin. Hence, your clothes will act as an outer sheath, preventing you from significant exposure to the mosquito invasion, ultimately keeping you safe.
