The IPMHE 2023 Closing Ceremony has concluded, and closing remarks were delivered by The United States Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez and
Lieutenant General Dato Dr Zulkeffeli bin Mat Jusoh, The Director General of The Malaysian Armed Forces Health Services.

For poster presentations, this year featured 70 entries across five different categories of poster presentation: public health and peacekeeping, soldier performance, clinical and application, supportive ancillary medicine, and case report.

The awards for each category were ranked in the top five by the judges.

In FIFTH PLACE: PT 5.07 - Efficacy of VTE Prophylaxis in Trauma Patients with Elevated BMI by Major Dr. Lisa Paulson from the United States of America.

In FOURTH PLACE: PT 2.14 - Evaluating an Automated Rodent Surveillance Strategy in Singapore Military Camps by Mr. Sathish Arivalan from Singapore.

In THIRD PLACE: PT 3.11 - Inflatable Positioning Device by Dr. Azura Sharena Yahaya from Malaysia.

In SECOND PLACE: PT 1.06 - Redefining the Medical Intelligence Landscape in the Armed Forces of the Philippines to Advance Preparedness and Response to Biological Threats by Colonel Dr. Emmanuel Degal from the Philippines.

THE POSTER PRESENTATION CHAMPION FOR INDO PACIFIC MILITARY HEALTH EXCHANGE 2023: PT 4.12 - Operationalizing a One Health Approach to Preventing the Next Pandemic by Captain Dr. Patrick McFadden from the United States of America.

The ceremony continued with mementos presentation to all Heads of Delegates, followed by the handing over of the IPMHE flag to the next host, Japan. The event concluded with a photo session.

IPMHE 2023 enters its third day with Keynote 3 - Building Strong Ties Towards a More Secure and Prosperous Region. Subsequently, Keynote 4 - Strategic Partnerships in the Indo-Pacific: Advancing Shared Interests has been conducted, followed by Symposium 4 - Forging a Sustainable Coalition 'Bridging the Gap.'

Participants were subsequently transported by bus to Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital Kuala Lumpur to conclude the activities of the third day, which included the Field Visit. The Field Visit aims to showcase the assets of the field hospital in conjunction with the ongoing Starlight Exercise."

Experience the magic of unity and culture at IPMHE 2023's Cultural Night – where the world comes together in style!

The Cultural Night served as the ultimate icebreaker for participants from across the globe. It was a vibrant celebration of diversity, where each ethnic group proudly showcased their heritage through traditional attire.

The night was alive with spectacular performances by the Royal Malaysian Air Force Artistic Body, leaving everyone in awe. We added some extra excitement with a thrilling Lucky Draw!

IPMHE 2023 enters its second day. The morning session began with Keynote 2 - The Future of Military Medical Education, followed by Plenary 2 - Strategic Partnerships: Advancing Global Military Joint Operations.

After a short Tea Break, Forum 1 - Civilian and Military Partnerships for Global Surgery Solution was conducted, and the next activity was Symposium 2 - Global Partnership for Healthcare Solution "The Way Forward," Workshop 2 - Far Reaching Health Service Support, and Bilateral Meetings.

Participants took a break for Lunch Break, during which Lunch Symposium 3 (Medtrade) and Lunch Symposium 4 (Octapharma) took place. Bilateral Meetings also continued during the afternoon session.

Plenary 3 - Global Partnership for Humanitarian Healthcare Solutions was conducted shortly after the Lunch Symposium, followed by Symposium 3 - Strategic Global Readiness & Mitigation in the Face of Emergencies, Emerging Threats & Disaster. Workshop 2 continued concurrently. The second-day afternoon session concluded with Tea Symposium 1 (Astra Zeneca) and Tea Symposium 2 (Moderna).
