If you're a fan of Masak Lemak & Malay cuisine, stop whatever you're doing now & read this 🤭🤭🤭
I recently received an invitation for a food tasting at Nasi Campur Pagi Malam Restaurant which is located in Bangsar...Being a fan of Masak Lemak, of course I grabbed the opportunity 😛
Straight to the point...Here's the list of menu that I tried:-
▪︎Rice Set With Siput Sedut ( Mud Creeper/Snail ) Masak Lemak
▪︎Rice Set With Set Daging Salai ( Smoked Beef ) Masak Lemak
▪︎Sambal Gesek & Sambal Hijau
▪︎Daun Masak Tempoyak ( add on )
What's my take on it? Here's my full review:-
MENU
✅Various types of Masak Lemak like Daging Salai ( smoked beef ), Siput Sedut ( mud creeper/snail ), Itik Salai ( smoked duck ), Udang Galah ( giant river prawn )
✅Ample choice of menu/dishes ( seafood, vegetables, sambal etc )
✅The Masak Lemak dishes are flavourful & suitable for all ages ( adult & children ). Spicy level are acceptable. For those who prefer spicy food, you can try the various sambal
✅Food portion are reasonable
✅Rice portion per serving are generous
SERVICE/SHOP SET UP
🔸️Service provided by the staffs are very good. They are always smiling & friendly. Very helpful
🔸️The restaurant's set up/deco is interesting. Memorabilia displayed reflects the vibes from the 70's, 80's & 90's. You'll be fascinated by the deco
🔸️Restaurant area are clean. Most of the time you'll see the staffs cleaning the tables/counter
🔸️Washbasin & toilets are provided & kept clean
MY PERSONAL ADVISE
👩🏻Be prepared to be stressed out finding parking in that area. You know how Bangsar is, rite? 😬
👩🏻If you prefer to dine in peace/relaxing environment ( weekday ), best to come after lunch hour. I was there around 3:30pm & it's very relaxing
👩🏻A must try menu ( apart from the Masak Lemak, of course ) - Tempoyak Daun Kayu & Sambal Gesek. I loveeeee this dishes so much!
Overall, I truly enjoyed my food tasting at Restoran Nasi Campur Pagi Malam. The food served are good & the service provided by the staffs are excellent 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Disclaimer : My review is based on my personal experience. I actually visited this restaurant twice ( after the initial invitation ), just to see if their menu & services are consistent. Yes, I turned myself into a "food spy" 🤫🤫🤫
