Weāre experiencing the right now, which began on 26th July and will end on 12th August. This energetic gateway opens once a year, bringing in high-frequency energy that helps us shed old patterns, awaken our inner strength and align with our soulās purpose.
is often commemorated on 8th August, where the energy is said to be at its peak, and with the numerology of 8.8 magnifying themes of abundance, transformation and infinite potential. The sun is also in Leo (hence āLionās Gateā), a fire sign associated with heart energy, confidence and courage.
With Saturday bringing with it the , the energy surrounding us is one that supports deep release, clarity and growth. Take note though that four planets are currently in āMercury, Saturn, Neptune and Plutoāeach bringing with it challenges and inertia. Itās important to flow during this time and not fight the current. Pause, check in and hold compassion for any challenges. Iāll be doing a two-day on Friday and Saturday, working with the energies of love and courage.

Is it time to pause and recalibrate?
Constantly wearing different hats and meeting deadlines⦠It may be time to hit pause to recalibrate and ground ourselves.
Tranquil Fusion is your pauseāwhere calming scents, deep yin stretches and healing sound waves bring you back to yourself.
The is tomorrow and itās all about our bondsāLibra is here to promote balance and symmetry in all our relationships and partnerships. Mercury and Venus have finally gone out of retrograde, but we could still be feeling the after-effects (or ) this whole month, so hold compassion for slow-moving days, communication upsets or things not coming to fruition quicklyā¦
Delays and difficult times help us pause, reflect and perhaps change direction if so needed, so we can choose the paths that best serve us. Holding my group tomorrow if you need some rest and renewal⦠š»

Blessed Ramadan! ⨠March not only marks a spiritual month of abstinence and reflection, itās also , with the arriving on Friday and the new moon solar eclipse closing out the month.

āØDecember MoodāØ
With four planets currently in retrograde (Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars), weāre being invited to slow down in December. If youāve been focused on doing and accomplishing lately, retrogradeāwith its slow-moving energy and delaysāwill suddenly free up some time to pause and take a breath. Wrapping up the year in reflection is a good thing; it gives us time to recalibrate and give thanks for the people, things and events that have made this year more meaningful.
Decemberās is this Sunday⦠šāØ If youāre anticipating a busy holiday season with places to go and people to see, this last of 2024 will be a good time to get clear and centred before the chaos⦠š»

Namaste and a warm hello from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! After spending the first half of my life pursuing a career in my first love (music), Iām excited to be continuing this new chapter following my second love as a yoga teacher and sound healer. Always open to learning and growing, Iām enthused about where this journey has taken me and continues to take me.
I started my yoga journey in 2009, at a time when I was deeply unhappy with myself and my life. I began a regular practice in ashtanga and hatha yoga, and found that I was digging it (and sticking to it) more than any other gym workout or fad diet. Yoga helped me find some semblance of sanity from my workaholic life in a stressful publishing career. My yoga journey slowly evolved from a physical practice to one that embraced meditation and mindfulness. It helped me through depression, and made me a more calm and centred person. The biggest takeaway is that yoga taught me to love and accept myself. I fell hard for the practice as I started to make better life choices for my health and happiness. And I wanted to delve deeper. I wanted to truly immerse myself in its teachings and in its way of living.
After three years of consistent practice, I started to seriously think about teacher training. At the time, I couldnāt fathom being a teacher ā I just wanted to study the yoga methodology and philosophy from its roots. It took me three more years before I plucked up the courage to sign up for a course. I was spiritually drawn to Dharamsala, India (the adopted home of the Dalai Lama and Tibetans in exile) and in June 2015, received my RYT 200-hour certificate in vinyasa and hatha yoga from the Kailash Tribal School of Holistic Healing. By the end of the course, I was so excited to share yoga with everyone as a tool towards healing and a better quality of life that teaching came naturally. I continue to grow in my practice as an ever-evolving student of yoga while regularly incorporating pranayama (breath control), shatkarma (cleansing techniques) and chanting.
Being exposed to many yoga styles through the years has led me to adopt a practical and open-minded approach to the practice and philosophy. It is also a methodology I acquired from my teacher and mentor, Yogi Sivadas. Iām a true advocate of yoga for everybody and every body type, and believe that every asana (posture) can be modified to suit any age and fitness level. Iām passionate about movement and my teaching style exemplifies yoga as a moving meditation ā one that is practised with grace, and a real awareness of the mind and body connection.
My classes are usually a sun-moon, yin-yang balance of strength-building and stretching with a leaning towards chest and shoulder openers that improve posture and elevate the mood, complemented by hip stretches that act as a deep release for stress and stifled emotions. I am drawn to how the chakras (energy centres of the body) influence how we function and move through life, and how an imbalance could affect us on a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level. Exploring this further, I did a 30-hour Chakra Yoga Fundamentals training with Lana Boyuk at the Radiance Yoga & Lifestyle School (Sudbury, Canada) and am able to offer chakra-themed yoga classes that address specific issues. Iām also a certified sound healer and start and end each class with the sound and vibrations from my bronze Tibetan singing bowl, helping to balance the chakras during the resting pose of savasana. I know only too well about injuries in yoga (having sustained them myself through the years) and this has made me impassioned about educating others on proper alignment so that they can build a solid foundation for a safe practice. Building on this base, I did a one-year work-study programme in Iyengar yoga at BKS Iyengar Yogashala (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and continue to value its teachings.
Iāve been blessed to be given opportunities to teach at many yoga studios in Malaysia (such as Aravind, Arogya, Metta, mYoga and Anytime Fitness gyms) as well as offer private and corporate yoga classes and sound healing sessions. Always looking for new ways to share yoga with more people, Iāve worked with Lululemon Malaysia to teach specially themed community classes, done yoga residencies at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort (Sri Lanka) and Pangkor Laut Resort (Perak, Malaysia), and co-organised a wellness retreat at The Dusun (Seremban, Malaysia). As a big believer in making yoga accessible to everyone, I also collaborate with Arogya, Friends of Taman Tugu and KEDAI to hold regular community yoga classes.
I continue to enjoy uncovering layers and discovering more about myself as a student of yoga and life as I find new and enriching ways to live and experience today and every day...and Iām ever happy to have people join me on this enlightening and awakening journey of the self.
