🔥 Hot take: Pilates isn’t your weight-loss workout. (Shout at me all you want🤷🏻‍♀️)

It’ll sculpt, strengthen, and align your body. But fat loss comes from nutrition, cardio, and lifestyle habits.

Pilates isn’t designed to burn tons of calories or spike your heart rate for long enough to create a real fat-loss effect.

It does other things way better, though...
✨It can help you build a strong, mobile, injury-resistant body, which is the foundation for you to train harder, stay consistent, and actually keep results.

So do Pilates for what it’s best at: creating a body that moves better, looks leaner, and feels amazing. Don’t expect it to replace the basics of fat loss.

The other day I scrolled past a 20-something influencer/model (with thousands of followers, obviously 💁🏼‍♀️) teaching people how to get glowing skin. Let's see what I found wrong with that... 😅

Her “secrets”?
➡️ A sponsored (!) & expensive-sounding routine (I wonder if she even uses all those products herself..)
➡️ A laundry list of daily steps no normal person could keep up with
➡️ …and a casual mention that she’s already had Botox. In her 20s. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Am I the only one seeing the red flag here?

Because here’s the reality:

Most of these “skin gurus” have zero background in health, dermatology, or nutrition. They just look the part.

Their smooth skin often comes from genetics, youth, and balanced hormones, rather than the creamy wonder in a jar they’re trying to sell.

Add in filters, touch-ups, and injectables, and of course 💁🏻‍♀️ it looks flawless.

(Oh, and they’re usually selling you something 😉)

But here’s what really impacts your skin (and no serum can cover it up):
⚡ Gut health: sensitivities, imbalance, and stress show up on your face.
⚡ Sleep: poor sleep slows repair and fuels inflammation.
⚡ Stress: cortisol = sluggish digestion + flare-ups.
⚡ Over-cleansing + under-resting = barrier damage + breakouts.
⚡ “Healthy eating” slip-ups: those little things add up more than we think.

✨ Glowing skin isn’t in a jar or a filter. It’s built from the inside out. Through your gut, your habits, and your lifestyle.

✨ So next time a 22-year-old with Botox is selling you “glow secrets”… maybe ask what their gut looks like first 💩🤭

Gut health isn’t just food. It’s also stress, sleep, and movement, that we very often overlook and do nothing about.

If you train hard but ignore your recovery, your gut will feel it too (bloating, fatigue, mood swings, sounds familiar?)

Post-training, I like a simple ritual: hydrate, breathe, light snack, stretch.
Your gut thrives on calm, not chaos ✨

Here is how I helped a client go from back pain and bloat to stronger core and flatter stomach in just a couple of months...

(She would like to stay anonymous so I will respect her wishes.)

When A. started, she was exhausted, bloated, and frustrated with her routine. She tried group classes, diets, none of it brought significant results despite her efforts.

We didn’t overhaul her life.

✨ First, we stopped what she was doing (which is pretty much throwing everything at the wall and trying to make it stick, then being profoundly frustrated that nothing actually does... )

✨ Then, we started with small anchors: hydration, Pilates basics, and a simple gut reset.

✨ Two months into the coaching: her energy is up, her core is stronger, and she feels like herself again.
Best part? She learned a lot about herself, nutrition and training, and now she understands her body much better, and knows to take care of it. Even if I'm not around.

This is what sustainable change actually looks like. ✨
