Managed to start my oral chemo prescription, 1st 2 week cycle of Capecitabine after ENT , Onco & various reports, blood samples, CT etc.

The journey up to now after the surgery seems age long, tough, painful & emotional.

Endless fear, worry, interrupted night sleep, physical exhaustion; no much time to spare on laziness;
I have to push myself hard every awake moment on productive action; eat when necessary, going to washroom, mouth hygiene, taking medicine, next appointment, insurance tracking, mild exercise; all this take up energy, alertness & persistence.

At least, at least, God bless, the bad thing had subsided for the moment, & no metastasis, just localized & eradicated.
The nightmare of previous 2 IV chemo still hallucinating in my mind.

Recovery take time, the oral prescription will sure not given me a good time either, hopefully side effect is kept at minimum, & allow me to enjoy longer good moment with my lovely wife & family.

God bless you all, my family & myself.

5th Day.
Ppl tends to forget hardship easily & remember only good moments.

As I went thro 2 npc treatment earlier, I stil struggle with this badly.

The hospitalisation is 4 days including 1st day HDU.

It looked like very long bad torture, every second counts.
Everything is not comfortable & doing every small thing is challenging.

I though the 1st npc treatment of 33 radio & 6 chemo were very bad, but nothing is comparable, we forget fast.
And every treatment I struggle.
Nobody can share yr feeling & hardship, you hv to swallow by yrself.

The 2nd day at home seem better, luckily the heat wave subsided by cool shower in the morning, else I dont know what to do...

Called my 80+ mom just now, who hv gone thro few surgery including major heart procedure.
I felt so much better as she hv coped with that & stil taking care herself & cooking, what is me?

I lost my faith about moving on with this repeated recurrence in the hospital.

Thanks mother for your warm conversation & power...jst move on & move on, do wat is suppose to do...

God bless! Amithaba!

Waiting for surgery in the afternoon...

Looking far fr my window, about 2.8km straight line is KPJ Kuching, where I first diagnosed with NPC back in 2020...

I stay somewhere in between, quite an advantage, with a positive mind...

For many cancer patient, recurrent incident can be very saddened...

Primary NPC in 2020, left side...
1st rNPC in 2023, right side...
And now 2025, left side...

The CT Scan in June showed necrosis on left Level II lymph node...

Subsequent follow up confirmed similar NPC origin from early left nasopharynx.

Earlier rNPC on the right nasopharynx has no evidence of carcinoma at the moment.

As I opt for biopsy on the left necrosis instead of usual waiting it to 'grow' bigger... subsequent action been quite affirmative...

Surgery very soon on the left neck to get rid of affected lymph, tissue etc...

And also the left nasopharynx require similar procedure as earlier right side, to reduce potential future risk.

2 surgery 2 location in one session...

Hope to recover fast & back to normal life with minimun side effect...
The left arm & neck will be a bit weak by then, hopefully still can enjoy my ping pong...

And please...give me longer time for beautiful moment this time...

God bless! Amithaba!

ENT follow up, one yr, since last sugery, or recurrent NPC Nasopharyngetomy surgery.

Recovery of the wound is challenging & takes time, even then part of the bone is still exposed or not tissue grown, likely due to chemo or radiation treatment.
Dr Tang says the exposed dead bone needs to be treated as it complicates recovery.

One yr time frame normally is given to examine the tissue recovery progress & also to ensure carcer-free before subsequent bone casting sugery or similar can be done.

Next onco review is scheduled Feb, after that ENT follow up for later bone repair surgery, pathing way for better tissue recovery...

Hope for the best, God bless & Amithaba!

10th month follow up ENT, rNPC surgery.

26/07/2024

It's been 8 mths since the surgery. Full recovery takes time though chemo had completed in March with good result.
Apart fr routine ENT fup & required Onco review, personal cleaning & monitoring of naso area become my usual important task.
ENT advised no aggressive exercise & heavy lifting.

As the tissue started to grow, the fragile growing blood vessel burst last week partly due to hot dry condition.
I hav a drier mouth & adjacent areas due to previous radio; current hot weather & sleeping in dry aircond room made this worst.
Just shoppeed an air humidifier online.

The Emergency ward Dr prescribed bleed stop Tranexamic Acid b4 I managed to meet ENT for the required endo procedure 5 days later..

I was sitting stil in the typical ENT chair with my tear falling & holding my shivering legs as Dr Tang performing the delicate cleaning, electrifying, biopsy etc thro my nose just in the clinic...so uncomfortable, painful but worth all the effort...
A small special tissue is placed on the bleed site b4 the whole procedure completed, it will discharge later by itsef...

Will get back to him after 2 wks & hope for the best on the biopsy...
