✨ Educational visit at A Learning Star ✨

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Josephine - lecturer from SEGi College Sarawak, together with 18 students from the Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education) programme for an educational trip to A Learning Star.

During the visit, we shared insights on different types of assessments used in early intervention and how assessment results guide Individualized Education Plan (IEP) planning. Students also had the opportunity to explore our teaching materials, sensory play activities, and intervention strategies used with children with special needs.

It was truly a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone. We are happy to support future educators in gaining practical exposure to the field of special needs education.

We’re excited to share that our little learners have been making great progress in building social skills, learning to take turns, and engage with friends through fun, structured activities.

PEERS® for Preschoolers Social Skills Group is an evidence-based program designed for children aged 4 to 6 years old with social skill deficit.

Through 16 weekly group sessions, puppet demonstrations, fun activities, and guided socialization practice, children learn how to:
✨ Listen and follow directions
✨ Make and keep friends
✨ Share and take turns
✨ Manage emotions during play
✨ Maintain good body boundaries and volume control
… and many more essential social skills!

👩‍👦 Parent participation is required
📅 Every Saturday | 3:00–4:30 PM | Physical class for 16 weeks
📍 A Learning Star @ Trinity Hub
Program is conducted in English medium.

Child entry requirement:
- potty trained
- speak at least four-word phrases
- understand simple instructions
- no aggressive behaviors that could harm others
- able to be separated from parents and remain with friends
