Panic disorder is defined as a type of anxiety disorder that causes repeated panic attacks. Individuals may experience sudden periods of intense fear and discomfort, or even a sense of losing control 🫨
The attacks occur even when there is no actual danger, which regularly causes individuals to experience physical symptoms such as a rapid heart rate, to the extent of the feelings the individuals are experiencing are similar to a heart attack.
For example, if an individual is experiencing a panic attack, it may not indicate that he/she will develop a panic disorder. A number of individuals only have one or two panic attacks in their lifespan, and they do recover without treatment.
