National Pharmacy Sports Carnival 2015

National Pharmacy Sports Carnival (NPSC) is an annual event for Pharmacy students in Malaysia. It serves to gather hundreds of Pharmacy students from public and private universities in Malaysia in one sporting event, in the effort to create closer bonds among the future pharmacists of Malaysia. This program is organized by the Malaysian Pharmacy Students Association (MyPSA) in cooperation with selected university which acts as the host for the year. Many universities had taken turn to host this event since it was established. For its 8th leg, University Sains Malaysia is again given the honor to be the host for this prestigious event. The aim for this event is to create a platform for the pharmacy students to show their talents in sports. It also serves as a platform to build a better relationship through sportsmanship. The strong competition among the different universities to be the champion also helps build their self-esteem and teamwork, the two main soft skills required in pharmacists today. It is also a promotion for active lifestyle by the future healthcare providers, as an example for the community as a whole. This event is one of the most highly anticipated events for pharmacy students all over Malaysia. With participation from all the pharmacy schools in the country, this event is indeed the gathering point that brings together the pharmacy students of this nation.
