The programme was thoughtfully structured with a dedicated pre-workshop for GI assistants, focusing on essential fundamentalsโparticularly equipment handling, system setup, and accurate data acquisition. Establishing this foundation is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of motility studies.
This was followed by the main workshop, where participants progressed into hands-on sessions, working directly with HRiM and pH-impedance tracings under expert guidance using ๐ญ๐๐ยฎ ๐๐๐ป๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ณ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ, alongside case-based discussions and clinical application. The workshop dinner also offered a meaningful opportunity to show appreciation to faculty and participants, while fostering connections in a more relaxed setting.
A key highlight was the focus on advanced diagnostic innovation, with live sessions featuring ๐ ๐ถ๐ฉ๐โข ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ง๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด and the ๐ฎ๐น๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ก๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐๐๐น๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ. These sessions provided valuable real-time exposure to how evolving technologies are enhancing clinical decision-making in oesophageal and reflux-related disorders.
The workshop also brought together distinguished faculty, including Prof Lee Yeong Yeh, Assoc Prof Dr Andrew Ong, Dr (Mr) Mohammad Shukri Jahit, and the UiTM organising team, alongside participants from Malaysia and across the region. Their contributions created a dynamic environment for meaningful exchange and collaborative learning, reflecting the growing importance of GI motility in modern clinical practice.
