Sumay Cheah is a multidisciplinary artist whose immersive installations weave sensory nuance, spatial harmony and emotional resonance. Recognised for creating environments where light, texture, and sound converge into spaces of calm and reconnection, her works invite audiences to pause, breathe, and find healing in stillness.

Her installation OH! Tenang (2023) won the SG Mark Award 2024 and the Golden Pin Design Award for its mindful, culture-driven immersive art. Other key works include OH! Together–Gather in the Kalendar (2025) and OH! Budaya (2022), created with children and differently-abled communities to foster play, connection, and inclusivity.

Sumay’s practice embraces collaboration with differently-abled communities to spark dialogue, foster exchange, and refine each experience with empathy, something Malaysia needs more of. Rooted in accessibility and empathy, her art serves as a gentle bridge to well-being, belonging, and visibility.

Founder of Diet Ideas, Masfara Wahidah's vision is simple, but powerful: to care for the elderly and the vulnerable through food and nutrition. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw the urgent need for credible, professional dietary for vulnerable groups--support that covers beyond clinics and hospitals. She started Diet Ideas, a health-tech nutrition company.

Since then, Diet Ideas has helped many transform their health through nutrition education and outreach. Through flagship programs like MyDietProgram and Healthy Food Around Me, they are building a nutrition ecosystem beyond weight loss. Early-stage diabetes reversal, medication reduction, and cholesterol management, among others, are all part of what she strives for.

"It hasn’t been easy, but it’s meaningful. I believe good nutrition is a quiet yet powerful force for nation-building—healthier people are more productive, engaged, and hopeful. That’s the Malaysia I want to help shape," she says.

A dedicated community leader and philanthropist widely respected for his commitment to public service in Penang, Dato' P. Murugiah is also the President of the Penang Hindu Association. In this role, he has been a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen cultural ties and provide essential support to the community.

He coordinates Klinik Derma Sivasanta’s efforts in Penang, bringing in specialists for free consultations, offering legal aid, and providing wheelchairs and essential food supplies to underprivileged families—support that proved vital during the Covid-19 period.

It was an incredible evening at the Memori screening with Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia!

During the screening, we learned many things that will help caregivers provide better care for those who suffer from Alzheimer's:

1. When a person goes through behavioral changes due to Alzheimer's, we must try our best to be patient and not to show frustration. If possible, it will be good to have a rotation schedule with another caregiver.
2. Reduce unexpected changes. Have a routine, and create a comfortable schedule and space, by reducing noise and clutter.
3. Find ways to stay active. It will help them to be in a better mood and sleep better.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to raising awareness and funds for such a vital cause. It is not easy to care for person with Alzheimer's, if need be, seek out a support group, so you need not go through this journey alone.
