• Kawal paras gula dalam darah untuk elak komplikasi mata.

• Pantau tekanan darah dan kolesterol secara berkala.

• Elakkan merokok kerana ia boleh mempercepatkan kerosakan mata.

• Segera dapatkan rawatan jika mengalami penglihatan kabur, titik darah, atau kilauan cahaya.
