My Dearest Yoga Family✨,
I hope this message finds you well. My sincere apologies if I haven’t replied to your personal DMs on class enquiries/updates this month. Kindly allow me some time to respond to each of your messages personally. ❤️
Meanwhile, I’m about to share a big news with all of you. I believe there is a purpose greater than anything I’ve ever imagined that was just waiting for me to step into it. For the past couple of years, I’ve been constantly receiving the push and signs to further my studies in a field that would set my soul on fire. After soaking in endless prayers and contemplation, I’ve decided embrace the golden opportunity given to me by the universe and make the most of it.
I’m honoured and humbled to share that I’ve been selected for the prestigious AYUSH Scholarship by the Government of India to pursue my studies in the field of Traditional System of Medicine. I’ll be soon spending 5.5 years abroad in India to complete my fully funded medicine course starting mid-December 2023. I’ll be pursuing Bachelor Of Siddha & Surgery (BSMS) at National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai.
During my recent trip to India, my family and I visited NIS which serves as a main hub for education and research in Siddha medicine in India. I completed my admission and took part in the first 2 days of Induction Programme. I was so touched with the warm welcome given by the management in honouring me as their first Malaysian Scholar under this programme. It is indeed a golden opportunity to be studying here as only 2/60 seats were allocated for international students this year.
I strongly believe my journey in yoga all the while is God’s way of preparing me for what He has prepared for me. While Siddha and Yoga have different primary focuses, I took up this field of study to recognise the potential synergy between the two systems and integrate elements of both for a holistic approach to health.
