"Bhavana" em Pali significa cultivar ou desenvolver 🌱. No contexto budista, é o ato de nutrir a mente, cultivando qualidades como compaixão, sabedoria e equilíbrio mental.

No mês da prevenção ao suicídio, podemos aplicar essa prática ao nosso dia a dia, ajudando a fortalecer nossa saúde mental e emocional. A meditação e o autocuidado são ferramentas poderosas para desenvolver resiliência e encontrar novas formas de lidar com o stress e a dor.

The term “sen” in Thai language means line, string or pathway.

There are at least 72,000 Sen lines that run through our body and whose function is to connect all the living cells in our organism and direct the energy we receive through breathing 😮‍💨 (or prana) through the complex network that permeates our body, vibrating in response to the physiological, psychological and also spiritual experience that we live in each moment.

⚡It’s through this lines that our vital energy, referred to as “lom”, flows. These energy lines are similar to the concept of meridians in traditional Chinese medicine or “nadis” in Ayurveda Medicine.

🌱Within these 72,000 meridians, we can identify 10 main lines most used and taught in the practice of Thai massage, helping to treat imbalances throughout the body. These lines are considered energetic “highways”, which cover and allow you to reach all meridians.

Incorrect diet, unhealthy lifestyle, negative thought processes and injury may create blockages along the energy lines.

By compressing and releasing the body in different ways, the sen are stimulated to encourage the free flow of this energy (lom) promoting not only the relief of physical tension and pain but also promoting emotional balance and mental clarity.

✨ "Thai Massage is based on a belief in a life force that circulates through energy pathways in the body. Indian yoga philosophy calls this life force prana, the Chinese refer to it as chi or qi, and in Thai medicine it is called lom.

It is said to be absorbed into the body from the food we eat, from the air we breathe, and from the living energy all around us. In Thai massage, these pathways comprise an energy system of pathways or lines (sen).

A blockage in any line may impede or prevent the free flow of lom, and therefore may lead to aches, pain, and disease on physical, emotional and spiritual levels."

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A MASSAGE?

👕 Dress comfortably
Traditional Thai Massage is a fully clothed experience. Light and loose clothing should be worn, preferably natural materials such as cotton. Training pants or leggings and a T-shirt will usually work well. Pijamas are also an option.
Try to avoid belts, buckles, zippers, and please remove jewellery.

🗣️ Communicate your needs
If you have specific questions or concerns about your health, please talk to me before starting your session.

🍶 Hydrate yourself
Toxins will be released into your circulation as a result of the massage. Make sure you are properly hydrated before and after the massage to flush them out of your system. Avoid caffeine, alcohol or other stimulants before and for a few hours after your massage to prolong the benefits.

🍏 Eat lightly
It is better to have a light snack an hour before the session. Avoid going to the session on an empty stomach, as the massage stimulates the body's digestive system and the relaxing effect of the massage lowers the blood sugar level.

⏰ Arrive 5-10 minutes earlier (Make it 10-15 minutes for the 1st session)
Take time to familiarize yourself with the area and relax. If you are relaxed before the session, you can enjoy the massage as soon as it starts. Rushing to be on time will make your mind and body tense and take away your relaxation.
