Safety starts with knowledge 🧠

Our therapist demonstrates safe patient transfer techniques to help caregivers and families move loved ones with confidence and reduce the risk of injury πŸ’™

Every transfer matters. Using the correct technique can:
β€’ Protect the patient from slips and discomfort
β€’ Reduce back and shoulder strain for caregivers
β€’ Improve confidence and independence during recovery
β€’ Support safer movement at home and in daily routines

Whether it is moving into a car πŸš— or getting safely in and out of bed πŸ›οΈ, proper transfers are an essential part of functional recovery.

At Specscare, we believe safe movement supports dignity, trust, and better recovery outcomes for everyone involved.

Our Story

Spescare was founded to develop sub-acute private healthcare services throughout South Africa. The name Spescare is an abbreviation for 'Specialised Care' and as such our focus is to provide specialised care programs to our patients during their rehabilitation process.

Spescare forms part of the National Hospital Network which is currently the 4th largest hospital group, representing independent hospitals throughout South Africa. We are also members of the Sub-Acute Hospital Association of South Africa and the Private Healthcare Information Standards Committee.

Spescare is a private Sub-Acute hospital group focused on providing rehabilitation care for inpatient and outpatient treatments in a hospital setting.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and service with our specialised rehabilitation programs, state of the art rehabilitation gyms and multidisciplinary teams. We focus on assisting each patient to reach their maximum potential as our multidisciplinary teams consist of world class referring specialists, specialist rehabilitation doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dieticians, social workers and case managers.
