📢 Exciting news from our sister service provider, Medixx Walvis Bay!

We’re extending ERAD’s radiology services directly to the Medixx premises with the installation of a brand-new general X-ray machine. This means that all Medixx occupational health referrals - covering industries such as offshore, industrial, mining, fishing, diving, transport, and aviation - will now be handled on-site.

Not only will this streamline patient flow and reduce waiting times at our main Walvis Bay branch, but it will also provide Medixx clients with faster, more efficient access to diagnostic imaging.

⚠️ Please note: These services are exclusively for Medixx occupational health referrals and not open to the general public.

The new facility is set to be operational by early October. Another step forward in advancing healthcare access across the Erongo Medical Group.

1 in 7 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at some point in their lives, making it the most common cancer in men globally.

That is why we would like to encourage the men in our community to get regular prostate screenings, including a prostate ultrasound if recommended by their primary healthcare practitioner.

It's recommended to get a prostate ultrasound if you are a man with:
➡️ a family history of prostate cancer
➡️ an elevated PSA level
➡️ symptoms like difficulty urinating or blood in the urine

ERAD Walvis Bay moved for dignity over the past weekend with Women Who Care Namibia - WWC at Esplanade Park.

It was a packed, fun-filled day of activities all aimed at raising funds, resources and awareness about period poverty and its effects on school girls in our community.

We would like to commend the Women Who Care Namibia team, who organised a flawless day which will make a tangible difference in the lives of so many girls. There really was something for everyone, from a 5km fun run to a 50km cycle, and even yoga and self-defence demonstrations. We ended the empowering day off with a fun Zumba dance session and, while we might be a bit sore today, we were honoured to have taken part in this event.
