Gender-Based Violence does not only show in bruises or broken bones. There is another form of violence—silent, invisible, and deeply damaging. This is emotional, psychological, and narcissistic abuse.

Narcissistic abuse includes:
Manipulation and gaslighting
Isolation from support
Financial and emotional control
Hidden cruelty—kind in public, harsh in private
Breaking down a woman’s identity and confidence

These wounds show in the mind, not the skin.

The impact on women and children is severe: confusion, fear, depression, and emotional exhaustion. Children grow up thinking this is normal love.

We must speak up because Namibia is seeing a rise in GBV cases. Ignoring emotional abuse simply because “there are no marks” allows it to continue.

Thats why as on organization we have the campaign that aims to support and give help to women and children who are victims...

This week we had a session with learners from on

As schools have closed and learners are on holiday. Many of this adoloscents and teens are feeling anxious and depressed due to failing or performing poorly in the first term. This has a severe effect on their mental health and creates feelings of hopelessness, disappointment, fear, anxiety and wanting to dropp out of school.
As an organization with support from Global Fund for Children we hosts dialogues for adolescents and teens to have conversations around mental health. Creating a safe space for them to unpack and speak out on the challenges their face and thus giving them tools and guidance on how to improve and strengthen their mental health.

Many learners mentioned that when they feel depressed they rather not speak out due to them being children. However one of the key advice they received was not to not suffer in silence by being quiet due to shame and embarrassment but rather talk to a teacher or seek professional counseling at the nearest clinic or social worker.
