NamPower is proud to handover school uniforms to Eluwa Special School, Moreson Special School and Dagbreek Special School to a total value of N$130 000. This donation is the result of the collective effort of NamPower’s dedicated employees, who came together to raise funds for the Power Care Back to School Initiative.

In the beginning of the year, the NamPower Foundation embarked on a mission to collect funds from willing employees with the aim of using it to support the less privileged. This initiative is called the Power Care Back to School initiative and it is an annual event on the NamPower Foundation’s calendar.

In addition, the staff also donated old clothes and shoes to the learners of the three schools. As NamPower, we recognise that meaningful impact goes beyond infrastructure and energy supply. It lies in how we show up for our communities, especially for those who need support the most.

Etare Received Printer

NamPower recently donated a photocopying machine worth N$16 700.00 to Etare Primary School, a school located in a rural area about 100km from Nkurenkuru, in Kavango West.

During the handover, the principal, Mr. Damian Kamukwanyama, mentioned that the nearest circuit office is about 45km away, which made it difficult for teachers to access basic resources such as printing and copying. He said, the donation will therefore make a meaningful difference in their ability to deliver quality education.

As part of our "Powering the Nation and Beyond" commitment we continue to invest in the future generation of our communities.

This year’s Earth Day theme: “Our Power, Our Planet” reminds us that the choices we make today help shape the future of the environment. From how we generate electricity to how we use it at home, every action plays a role in protecting the world around us.
