Could you appreciate the age difference.

This is the same person in her youthful age and in her old age.

This lady could still sing admirably with her soprano voice. She has shown a maintained interest in and love music, though she might not actively be performing as before.

While as we grow older there are part of us we tend to keep aside, or lose interest in, but many times this has not included things in which they have shown great passion.

We tend to feel surprised when we see older persons perform certain skill, and this is because we are in a society where old age is seen as a stage where one becomes (almost) weak and useless. This is AGEISM!

Give atte toon to the older people around you. There are things in them that seek for opportunities to express themselves.

Majority of the older adults want to be heard. They know what they want: listen to them very careful and help them to live fulfilled and happy.

Could you imagine her joy as she sings...

An African Old woman
An African Old mother.

Can you see the joy of old age.

Why would she not live long(er).

This woman lives in the village, not in the city, but in the rural area.

Could you consider the change in her speech

Could you feel her smiles and confidence.

Do you understand that this is an opportunity for her to express herself again...

Do you think that she is not aware that she was being videoed.

Do you think that the video was made without her consent.

Could you image how joyed you could be when you are given a platform to do you love doing, especially those that you had wished you could express them in public.

What could make the younger lady relate with her that way?

Considering the old woman's songs and words, does it remind you of something about spirituality, religiosity and old age?

Could u say that this woman is strong...does it do do something to your mind...does it help you debunk your poor perceptions against old age and old people.

Could u admire the grace in the use of the stick/cane...this makes old age sweet!

Love old people and have their time.
