Today, we held our second online book review session and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

We are intentionally building a community of intentional, reading and purposeful parents, who will read, grow and lead their family better.

Purpose called and I answered.

Today, I was privileged to speak to single ladies on the topic: Owning Your Finance Before Sharing Your Life.

It was an interesting moment teaching about finance and the struggles many single ladies go through daily regarding finances.

We discussed how finance is beyond money. It touches the mind, emotions, values, discipline, purpose, spirituality, and self-worth.

Many ladies today are silently battling:

Pressure to look successful

Emotional spending

Fear of the future

Financial dependence

Comparison and social media pressure

Lack of financial knowledge

Emotional instability tied to money decisions

One powerful lesson from The Gospel of Luke — Luke 16:10 stood out for me: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Before asking for more, we must first learn stewardship, discipline, emotional maturity, and wisdom with what is already in our hands.

A relationship should not become an escape from confusion, fear, lack, or insecurity.

True financial ownership is beyond having money. It is:

Wisdom

Peace

Self-worth

Vision

Responsibility

Emotional stability

Purpose

I am grateful for the opportunity to pour, teach, and remind young women that they are valuable beyond appearances and societal pressure.

The journey to becoming whole is intentional.

Let’s Talk About Sibling Fights…

One thing many parents don’t talk about enough is this, your children will fight.

Yes, even the ones you are raising with love, values, and prayers.

In my home, my children argue, disagree, and sometimes fight. And you know what?
I don’t always rush in to separate them.

Not because I don’t care…
But because I’m raising them for life.

I’ve learned that every small disagreement is an opportunity for them to learn:

How to express their feelings

How to listen to another person

How to resolve conflict

How to take responsibility

Sometimes, I sit back and watch. Not ignoring… but observing.

I allow them to talk it out, to feel, to process.
And most times?
They settle it themselves.

And when they do, something powerful happens;
They build understanding.
They build emotional strength.
They build relationship skills.

Because the truth is…
I won’t always be there to settle their fights in school, in friendships, or in marriage.

So instead of raising children who depend on me to fix everything,
I am raising children who can fix things themselves.

Of course, I step in when:

It becomes hurtful or disrespectful

It turns physical

Or when guidance is truly needed

But not every disagreement needs a referee.
Some need growth.

Dear parent,
Don’t be too quick to silence every conflict.
Sometimes, that little fight is teaching a lifelong lesson.

Your children are not just siblings…
They are each other’s first teachers of relationship.

One day, two children walked into our Bende Book Club…
Quiet, simple, and like many other children from public schools.

But something stood out…
They stayed.
They were consistent.

For three years, these children kept showing up, reading, learning, growing.

Today?

They are always at the top of their class.
They speak confidently.
They express themselves boldly.

And if you meet them, you won’t believe they attend a public school.

What made the difference?

Exposure.
The right environment.
The right community.

Books refined their minds.
Consistency built their confidence.

And it didn’t stop with the children…

Their mother, who joined our Parents Book Club, has experienced a total transformation.
The home changed.
The mindset changed.
The results became visible.

This family is living proof of one thing:

If you follow five wise people, you will become the sixth.

Your child doesn’t just need school…
Your child needs the right environment.

There was a time I looked around and realized something was missing in many homes…

Children were growing, but not developing.
Parents were providing, but not connecting.

That was how Family Life Wisdom Family Life Wisdom Center was born.

A place where we raise readers, thinkers, confident children, and intentional parents.

This is not just a program…
It’s a movement.

Before businesses, firms, and governments existed, the family already existed.

The family is the first institution of society. From it came communities, companies, organizations, and governments. In many ways, the systems we see in these institutions today were first practiced in the family.

Governments run on systems and structures.
Companies operate with policies, discipline, and clear expectations.
But sadly, the very place where these values should begin, the family, is gradually losing its structure.

Today, many of the children families release into society struggle with discipline, responsibility, respect, and work ethic.

Employers complain about poor attitude to work. Schools complain about indiscipline. Society complains about moral decline.
And I often ask myself:
Where did we get it wrong?

Why is the family system falling behind?

The truth is this:
Our society today is largely a reflection of the condition of our families.

When families are strong, societies are stable.

When families are weak, society begins to break.

I strongly believe that if we can repair the family system, we can rebuild our society and make it a safer, healthier place for everyone.

The transformation of any nation does not start in the parliament or the boardroom.
It starts in the home.

PARENTING LESSON FROM A SIMPLE MORNING ROUTINE

This morning, two brothers taught me something powerful about leadership and responsibility.

The elder one usually prepares both toothbrushes. But today, the younger brother took only his own.

Later, the elder also took only his water bottle.
When asked why, he explained calmly: “I normally bring our toothbrushes out together, but he didn’t today.”

What happened here?
👉 Emotional awareness
👉 Reaction based on fairness
👉 A leadership opportunity

As parents, these small daily moments are character-building opportunities.

Instead of shaming, shouting, or ignoring, I redirected him:

“You are the eldest. We operate as a team. Responsibility is not based on whether someone else did their part.”

Here are 3 lessons for parents:

Children communicate through actions.

Correction should build vision, not shame.

Leadership training starts at home.

The home is the first institution of character formation.

Parenting is not about who is right. It is about who we are raising.

At Family Life Wisdom Center, we believe intentional parenting builds emotionally intelligent children.

Parenting is a calling.
Let’s answer it with patience and purpose.

Dear parent,
do you know, you have roughly 18-20 years to intentionally prepare your children knapsack, before they can face the world?

Therefore, make sure you are intentionally providing your kids with the most important skills, values, virtues, and morals they need to survive.

It's a jungle out there, and survival is for the dauntless.

Be intentional about your family
