Before businesses, firms, and governments existed, the family already existed.
The family is the first institution of society. From it came communities, companies, organizations, and governments. In many ways, the systems we see in these institutions today were first practiced in the family.
Governments run on systems and structures.
Companies operate with policies, discipline, and clear expectations.
But sadly, the very place where these values should begin, the family, is gradually losing its structure.
Today, many of the children families release into society struggle with discipline, responsibility, respect, and work ethic.
Employers complain about poor attitude to work. Schools complain about indiscipline. Society complains about moral decline.
And I often ask myself:
Where did we get it wrong?
Why is the family system falling behind?
The truth is this:
Our society today is largely a reflection of the condition of our families.
When families are strong, societies are stable.
When families are weak, society begins to break.
I strongly believe that if we can repair the family system, we can rebuild our society and make it a safer, healthier place for everyone.
The transformation of any nation does not start in the parliament or the boardroom.
It starts in the home.
