Just like your body needs rest on a Sunday, so do your eyes. Take a break from your screen, step outside, and give your eyes the gift of nature and rest. Your vision will thank you.

Alot of people get confused on the difference between an optometrist, optician and an ophthalmologist so I'll be telling us the differences
First an Ophthalmologist: they differ from optometrist and optician in their level of training, they are medical doctors who are licensed to diagnose ey conditions, treat eye diseases, perform eye surgeries, prescribe optical devices for vision problem.
2 An Optician: they are technicians trained to fix frames and lenses and other optical devices they use prescription supplied by optometrist and ophthalmologist. opticians are not licensed to diagnose or treat eye diseases or conditions.
3.Optometrist:
I am an optometrist so I am a primary eye care professional that is licensed to practice optometry which involves performing eye examinations , vision test prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses and other optical devices detecting certain abnormalities and prescribing medications and also proferring solutions to certain conditions.

Preseptal cellulitis:
This is an infection of the eyelid and the skin around the eyeball. it typically affect children and causes symptoms such as swelling, pain, and redness around the eyes.
This condition occurs when bacteria enters the eyelid or surrounding skin. the bacterial infect the area in front of the orbital septum. The orbital septum separates the frontal structures of the eyelid from the back portion known as the orbit.
Preseptal cellulitis is most common in children under the age of 10 years, however it can occur at any age.
Common symptoms includes:
Swelling
Redness of the eyelid or areas around it pain
Tenderness
Irritability
Fever
Tiredness
Preseptal cellulitis usually occurs when the eyelid areas is infected with a bacteria, for example rubbing or picking the eye.
Warning: A person who has a stye could also develop preseptal cellulitis, washing the face with a gentle cleanser and applying warm compress around the eye can reduce the risk of stye and preseptal cellulitis
Treatment:
An Optometrist will first confirm the diagnosis by checking the medical condition and examining the eye. They will determine a treatment depending on how serious the infection is and the person's age.
according to the college of optometrist the haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine can reduce the risk of preseptal and orbital cellulitis in children
The centers for disease control and prevention recommends the HIb vaccine for all children under five years old the vaccine should also be a consideration for unvaccinated children older than 5 years.
In summary the outlook for people with preseptal cellulitis is good if they receive timely medical attention. Most people will recover from the condition without the need for hospitalization and without experiencing any long-term complication so it is important to contact your eye doctor when symptoms occurs.
