For a healthy living, concentrate more on natural things than artificial things. For instance, natural foods are better than artificial/'refined' foods or pastries. Natural sugar is better than refined sugar. Natural food items are organic in nature and your body is also organic in nature. Therefore both of them are in agreement. Artificial food items or refined foods or pastries contain some additives including preservatives that are not good for your health due to their side effect or after effect. Most of the natural food items have fibre. For that reason, it passes through a natural process before the body will absorb what it needs. The excess will then be removed as waste product. Note that natural sugar is good for the body and helps in generating energy. Natural sugar is not harmful to the pancreas. Pancreas regulates sugar in the body.
