This new month invites us to pause and reflect on the true essence of charity and humanitarian service.
What truly drives your acts of kindness?
– To feel good?
– To be seen and praised?
– Or to be sincerely devoted to those who cannot repay you, trusting that only God rewards in His time?
A true humanitarian is not defined by abundance, but by prioritizing the needs of others as though they were their own. Whether in plenty or in little, humanitarians embody meekness, generosity, and humility.
📖 Sirach 3:17–20, 25–29 teaches:
"Perform your tasks in meekness, and you will be loved more than a giver of gifts. The greater you are, the more you must humble yourself; so you will find favour with God. Many are noble and renowned, but it is to the humble that He reveals His mysteries."
Beloved, humility must guide every act of charity. If we give only for recognition, or wait until we have “enough” before helping others, such giving loses its eternal value. Pride leads many to compete for needless positions, but God calls us not to be “No. 1” in men’s eyes, but to become what He has destined us to be.
✨ Charity covers a multitude of needs, but humility covers a multitude of sins.
✨ No one is too knowledgeable not to be taught.
Therefore, let us remain humble in every act of kindness—whether through financial support, relationships, or even in the simple way we speak to those around us. Even a cup of water given in God’s name is never wasted; every sacrifice made for His sake brings great reward.

Beloved family, with hearts full of joy, we welcome each and every one of us into this year’s GCDIM August Babies Celebration Platform. 🎉 As we gather to celebrate our lives and God’s blessings, let us be reminded that the purest form of joy is found *not only in cakes, music, and laughter, but in giving others a reason to smile even in their darkest hours. 💕* True celebration shines brightest when the less privileged, the orphans, and the vulnerable feel the warmth of our love and the touch of our kindness.

For those who may be new to this, *GCDIM is a non-religious humanitarian mission committed to empowering lives through education, healthcare, protection, nutrition, and livelihoods—reaching the less privileged, orphans, IDPs, prisoners, and vulnerable souls in our society. 🌍💞*

In the spirit of this special season, we propose a mini fundraising to the tone of ₦2,000,000. 🙏 This will enable us to support children and orphans struggling to return to school due to financial hardship. Imagine their joy as schools resume—walking back into classrooms with dignity, knowing their fees have been paid or supported, and holding good educational materials in their hands. 📚✏️
