THE SECRET OF UNHAPPY MARRIAGES.
You know how women and their families look for stable job etc in a man before accepting his proposal(let's call it kinetic value of the spouse to be), then same men when choosing rather than choose women with similar kinetic value go seeking fresh young girls like the village wife mentality or worse still the fresh graduate who has neither gotten a job nor is there any indication of how getting or not getting a job will modify her personality (her potential value).
I married first in that category year 2008 immediately after graduation. I served NYSC as a married woman, i requested relocation, I had restrictions and then finished serving to return to my groom in a town not as industrialised as could have been best for a fresh graduate of an engineering course. Then life happened and the story continued though in my case I was finally able to follow opportunities that led me to my place today.
BACK TO MY SECRET
Many established or establishing young men get married to potential "Dora Akunluyi's" who end up being urgent 2k candidates, and sometimes loose guard on dress sense as stress of screaming after growing children and basically lack of funds affords them nothing more in energy nor money to slay.
You may say their husbands should be in the position to push them further, but only a person can really push himself forward, you can ask many husbands who have tried and failed, and laslas the husbands too get carried away by their own life issues and begin comparing the potential they married with the kinetic they run into daily.
So many men fall into temptation and begin to live the unfaithful life as a distraction or alter reality to the life they chose.
And the slide keeps declining to a breaking point.
The Marriage works, breaks or stays turmulent.
Then some of women who get divorced from this mismatching suddenly realise they could do more and begin polishing that potential they had.
Well some never do and they join the single mother in need crew and unfortunately are left with the raising of the offspring of the failed marriage when the more financially stable men decide to be vengeful.
