I am 40 today and I am grateful for a lot of things in my life, I cannot be thankful enough because no amount of words , praises and dancing can be enough but in all I will keep saying thank you Lord.
But my message today has been long jotted down almost a year ago, it has been ringing in my head and then I put it to writing so I will not forget and till today that it is needed. It is very direct and intentional, my love and message is to my peers out there especially those born in the year 1985.
Take a look inward and be grateful, ignore and put aside every naysayers, critics and bad mouths, be grateful and be happy. You can be 40& single, you can be 40& be a widow, 40&a single parent or 40& be poor, 40, married & have no kids, 40, married, have kid & cannot cater for them or 40 & lost a child or had miscarriage/miscarriages, 40& rich but not happy.
I can go on and on and on but I have come to tell you, rejoice, be merry, though your thoughts & pains are valid, very valid but being sad can and will continue to rob you off of many things, can blind you off what you need to be grateful for/of and so on.
You are not late if you just want to be married @40, not late to deliver a child/children, not too early in any mis-h4rm that might & come your way, it is a matter of different strokes for different folks, life happens, we get be4ten down or pulled up, one's first step is another tenth. Whatever situations you are in, be merry peers. Life they say begins @40, so why suck up/in, cry & fade away when you can actually begin life again, begin to live again, afresh and live long, live well in happiness.
I close by saying evil will not come near our dwellings and in all our endeavours we will have reasons to rejoice and celebrate in Jesus Christ name, amen.
Happy birthday to me, Adenike Omotunde.
Pls join me in thanking God for my life as you do same for self.
