The Ajegunle City Youth Marathon, is an event in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA/LCDA of Lagos State, Nigeria, that is aimed at promoting health and fitness, youth development and empowerment and as well providing a platform to showcase the community’s potential for sports and tourism and also for young athletes to showcase their talents and compete for prizes. The marathon is a celebration of the resilience and determination of the Ajegunle youth to thrive against all odds and a source of inspiration for the entire community, thereby leveraging sports to advocate and promote positive change.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) today met with the Lagos State Sports Commission for the Advisory & Implementation Review — aligning plans, refining strategies, and strengthening readiness for the 2025 edition.

Key discussions covered logistics, traffic management, medical safety, supplies, and manpower, with both teams affirming strong progress and shared commitment to delivering a world-class marathon experience.

The Ajegunle City Youth Marathon Project is proud to confer the distinguished title of Lifetime Patron on Hon. Lucky Uduikhe, MD/CEO of Datapoint Microsystems, former Vice Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA, and a trailblazing business mogul in the ICT sector.
