Exciting Moment at the Policy Innovation Center Gender & Inclusion Summit 2025

It was such a privilege meeting Mr. Kayode Okikiolu of Channels TV at the summit. We had a brief but impactful chat, and I was inspired by his passion for telling stories that drive social change.

I’m truly looking forward to welcoming him soon at Natal Cares, as we prepare for a short documentary that will spotlight our work in reducing maternal and infant mortality in underserved communities.

Grateful for meaningful connections that amplify our mission and give a stronger voice to the women and children we serve.

Grateful to have been part of the Gender & Inclusion Summit 2025 ( ) hosted by the Policy Innovation Centre

Over two inspiring days, leaders, policymakers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers came together under the theme “New Voices & New Approaches for Accelerating an Inclusive Society.”

I had the privilege of not only learning from thought leaders but also sharing the impactful work we are doing at to drive maternal & child health / clean energy / inclusive innovation in underserved communities.

Key highlights for me:
1. Conversations on dismantling systemic barriers for women and youth
2. Practical strategies to close the digital and financial inclusion gap
3. Engaging with allies who believe equity is not just policy but practice

I left even more committed to building solutions that ensure no one is left behind.
A big thank you to the Policy Innovation Centre and partners for creating this powerful platform. The journey to a more inclusive and equitable future is a collective one and I’m proud to be part of it.

Natal Cares Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening Outreach – Ile Ife

In the ancient city of Ile Ife, Natal Cares in partnership with OFI brought hope, knowledge, and life-saving healthcare to the heart of the community. Our dedicated team of doctors and volunteers provided breast cancer awareness sessions, clinical examinations, ultrasound scans ensuring that women, many of whom had never been screened before, could access early detection services without financial barriers.

Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among women in Nigeria, and early detection is often the difference between life and loss. This outreach was not just about medical checks; it was about empowering women with the knowledge to take charge of their health, breaking the silence around cancer, and fostering a culture of regular screening.

Our vision goes beyond Ile Ife. This is part of a broader mission to take breast cancer awareness and screening to rural and underserved communities across Nigeria, bridging the gap between life-saving healthcare and those who need it most. In the future, we aim to foster more partnerships and establish permanent community screening programs, integrate mobile health technology for follow-up care, and train local health workers to sustain impact long after each outreach.

At Natal Cares, we believe every woman deserves the chance to live free from the fear of late diagnosis and every outreach brings us one step closer to that goal.

Our dedicated doctors and health team offered breast examinations, ultrasound scans, and vital education on early detection to women who might otherwise have little or no access to such care. Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among women, yet when detected early, survival rates are significantly higher. That’s why what we do matters — we’re not just screening, we’re empowering women with knowledge, breaking the stigma around breast health, and ensuring that every woman, regardless of background, has a fighting chance at life.
