We are pleased to share the outcomes of our recent LEAD Management Leaders Retreat, an intentional period of reflection, restructuring, and re-strategizing aimed at strengthening the future of the LEAD Foundation.

During this retreat, the Management Team developed stronger systems and introduced new frameworks to position us for greater impact.

Key Outcomes:

Campus System Optimization: Major restructuring to strengthen our campus system and enhance grassroots effectiveness.

Mental Health Expansion: A renewed focus on primary and secondary schools through the creation of mental health clubs to support student well-being.

Community-Based Strengthening: A plan to deepen our community engagement model and enhance our presence at the grassroots level.

Training for Religious Leaders: A dedicated effort to equip faith leaders with mental health knowledge and tools to better support their communities.

To our volunteers: your dedication remains the backbone of this movement. Thank you for your patience, commitment, and belief in the vision of LEAD. Together, we are stepping into a stronger, more impactful phase, one that truly matters.

International Men’s Day: A Gentle Reminder to Every Man Out There

Today, we celebrate men, not just for being strong, but for being human.
For the silent battles you fight.
For the pressure you carry quietly.
For the days you push through even when your mind feels heavy.
For the emotions you were taught to hide.

Men feel deeply.
Men get overwhelmed.
Men need support.
Men deserve softness, empathy, and safe spaces.

You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to speak up.
You are allowed to be vulnerable.
You are allowed to ask for help.

Strength is not pretending.
Strength is honesty.
Strength is healing.

To every man reading this, your mental health matters.
Your emotions matter.
You matter more than you know.

Today, we see you clearly, with compassion, respect, and gratitude.

⭐LEAD at Seven⭐

Seven (7) years ago, a small Community of volunteers, led by Kelvin Opiepie launched the LEAD Project, now LEAD Community Foundation, a mission that dared to reimagine what community, compassion, and courage could achieve. Today, we celebrate not just an anniversary but a powerful movement built by countless hearts committed to healing and hope. However, this milestone is a victory we share with our partners, volunteers, supporters, and friends whose belief in our vision has fueled every stride. The energy, the passion, and the resilience behind this journey are worth celebrating.

The numbers tell a story of real impact and growing influence. Over 36,653 hearts and minds have been reached through mental health education, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs. More than 300 free counseling sessions have opened safe doors for people to breathe, heal, and rise again. Over 1000 stationery items have supported students and communities during our outreaches. And with more than 100 young volunteers leading mental wellness conversations across different communities, our mission continues to spread with purpose and unstoppable momentum.

As we celebrate this seventh chapter, we are fired up for the work ahead. Mental health advocacy thrives when more voices join the cause. We invite you to step in, stand with us, and help expand this impact. Every shared post, every partnership, every volunteer effort, and every act of advocacy strengthens the bridge between struggle and support. Together, we can build a world where healing is celebrated, stigma is silenced, where no one walks their journey alone, and healing is possible for everyone.

🌍 World Mental Health Day 💚

Today, we stand together to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, especially in times of crisis. Protecting the mind is just as vital as saving lives.

This year’s theme, “Mental Health in Humanitarian Emergencies,” reminds us to show compassion, extend support, and build communities that heal, recover, and thrive.

At LEAD Community Foundation, we remain committed to promoting mental health literacy, supporting those affected by emotional distress, and creating safe spaces where individuals can find hope and healing.

Let’s keep breaking the silence and creating safe spaces for every mind to matter.
