1st NTDs STAKEHOLDERS SUMMIT IN AKWA IBOM STATE.

ADVOCACY VISIT.
The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the forthcoming 1st NTDs Stakeholders Summit organised by the NTDs Control and Elimination Programme of the Ministry of Health, Akwa Ibom State in partnership with Helen Keller International (HKI), paid an advocacy visit to the Office of the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State.

The aim of the visit was to intimate her of the forthcoming stakeholders summit with the theme,' Enhancing Domestic Resource Mobilization towards sustaining the Control and Elimination of NTDs in Akwa Ibom State', scheduled for Thursday, 7th September 2023 at the banquet Hall of the prestigious Watbridge Hotel and Suites, IBB Avenue, Uyo.

The visit was also geared towards soliciting his support towards the hosting of a very successful event.

ADVOCACY VISIT.

In order to seek and obtain the buy in of critical major stakeholders for the summit organised by the NTDs Control and Elimination Programme of the Ministry of Health,Akwa Ibom State in partnership with Helen Keller International (HKI), the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the epoch making event paid an advocacy visit to the CEO of ECEWS , Mr Andy Eyo at his office in Uyo.

The aim of the visit was to intimate him of the forthcoming stakeholders summit with the theme,' Enhancing Domestic Resource Mobilization towards sustaining the Control and Elimination of NTDs in Akwa Ibom State', is scheduled for Thursday, 7th September 2023 at the banquet Hall of the prestigious Watbridge Hotel and Suites, IBB Avenue, Uyo.

The overriding objective of the summit is to bring stakeholders together to further sensitize them and create awareness on NTDs and its negative impact on the most vulnerable population leading to untold hardship, suffering and stigmatisation.

The summit will also provide an avenue to advocate for more domestic resource mobilization for the implementation of the various strategies that have been put in place for the control and elimination of NTDs.
