We also carry out regular eye camp (outreach) programs in schools, cooperate organizations and communities in conjunction with NGOs. Last two weeks a team of professors of ophthalmology from West African College of surgeons and from University of Port Harcourt Teaching hospital paid a visit on an accreditation exercise to Charis Eye Hospital Ltd in regards to having us as a surgical skill acquisition centre for resident doctors of ophthalmology for UPTH.

Last week the National college did same and both gave us a huge thumbs up of satisfaction.

Thank you also to UUTH that has joined the partnership with Charis Eye Hospital courtesy of the HOD of ophthalmology of UUTH, the cerebral VR Surgeon. (Prof)

We are grateful for the continous strides of progress we have made over the years that has caught the attention of a couple of teaching hospitals in the country for such noble responsibility.

Our zeal for ameliorating the Eye care needs of the populace, most especially the unreached and vulnerable in the society which is the focus of Charis Eye Hospital remains an uncompromising mission.

We are pleased to announce a free medical outreach providing comprehensive eye treatments to the community. This initiative, which began yesterday, will continue through Friday.
