If you're starting new chemist shop.
Listen to this advice (part 2)

1. Learn to interpret laboratory results.
It's bad that patient came to you with lab result and you don't even know the meaning, how can you treat it.

2. Learn proper dosing.
Under-dosing may not be able to treat sickness and overdosing may become a threat to life.

3. Learn how to accommodate customers.
Customers (patients) have bad mouth towards patent medicine. If doctors couldn't treat them in hospital, they will say, that the doctor tried his best but it didn't work, but if it's in your shop, they may say you don't know what you are doing.

5. Be certain of the sickness a drug can cure.
Make sure that any drug you are giving is for that sickness, avoid cutting random drugs.

🔷️Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD)
🔷️Especially duodenal ulcers
🔷️Forms a protective barrier over ulcers to aid healing
🔷️Stress Ulcer Prophylaxis (in critically ill patients)
🔷️Gastritis
🔷️Mucosal Injury from NSAIDs
🔷️Oral Mucositis (off-label use in chemotherapy/radiotherapy patients)
🔷️GERD (mild cases) – particularly for pregnancy-safe options

Dexamethasone vs prednisolone

Prednisolone and Dexamethasone; Are they the same?

Both medications treat similar conditions, such as allergic reactions, dermatologic conditions, endocrine disorders, and respiratory diseases.

Because they can suppress the immune system, they are good in treating immune related illness such as rheumatism, eczema etc.

The key difference is that Dexamethasone is far more potent than prednisolone.

They can cause an increase in appetite and build up fluid making someone to gain weight especially around face and stomach region.
