2025 IKASOUTH BEST STUDENT CHALLENGE:- FOUNDER, AGHOLOR DENNIS KELUBIA, OPENING SPEECH , 2ND APRIL Ika South Local Government Council in
Delta State Government

Esteemed guests, distinguished students, valued educators, and members of the community,

It is with immense pleasure and profound gratitude that I welcome you to the closing ceremony of the inaugural 2025 Ika South Best Student Challenge, hosted by the Denkelly Charity and Empowerment Foundation, here at the esteemed Ika National Hall.

My personal journey, commencing with a distinguished early education at Obika Primary School, Agbor, instilled within me a lifelong commitment to the transformative power of learning. This foundational experience, coupled with subsequent education at Imeobi Secondary School, has shaped my perspective as a businessman, a family man, and now, a dedicated advocate for educational advancement.

As Benjamin Franklin wisely stated, β€œAn investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” This principle resonates deeply with my belief that a robust education yields enduring returns, not only in professional success but also in personal fulfillment. The cultivation of a thirst for knowledge is the cornerstone of individual achievement and societal progress.

However, the acquisition of knowledge alone is insufficient. We must also nurture the virtues of character, integrity, and ethical conduct. This holistic approach, fostered by the dedicated principals and teachers, ensures that our students are equipped to make positive and meaningful contributions to society.

In an era characterized by complex challenges, it is imperative that our youth possess the intellectual acumen, moral fortitude, and unwavering resolve to navigate these complexities. I am confident that the participants of the 2025 Ika South Best Student Challenge, having benefited from the mentorship and enrichment provided by the Denkelly Foundation, will emerge as exemplary leaders, distinguished by their integrity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to positive impact.

My own cherished memories of Obika Primary School and Imeobi Secondary School, public institutions that fostered academic excellence despite resource constraints, serve as a testament to the potential within every student. We are here today to sow the seeds of greatness, creating a legacy of educational opportunity and inspiration for generations to come.

The Denkelly Foundation envisions the Ika South Best Student Challenge as an annual initiative, a catalyst for educational motivation and achievement. We extend a sincere call to government agencies, stakeholders, philanthropists, community advocates, and all who value education to join us in supporting this vision. Our aspiration is to expand this program, encompassing all public schools in the Ika community and beyond, ultimately reaching students throughout Nigeria.

We believe that educational motivation unlocks the latent potential within every individual. Through collaborative efforts, we can empower our youth to achieve their full potential and contribute to a brighter future for our society.

Thank you.

IKA SOUTH CELEBRATES ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE! πŸŽ‰

HON. Jerry Ehiwarior JERRY EHIWARIOR DELIVERED INSPIRING OPENING & MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH AT THE 2025 IKA SOUTH BEST STUDENT CHALLENGE GRAND FINALE.

Esteemed guests, dedicated educators, bright students, and the esteemed members of the Denkelly Charity and Empowerment Foundation,

It is with immense pleasure and profound pride that I address you today at the grand finale and prize-giving ceremony of the 2025 Ika South Best Student Challenge for our public secondary schools. This remarkable event, a testament to the collaborative spirit between the Ika South Local Government Council and the Denkelly Charity and Empowerment Foundation, underscores our shared commitment to nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of academic leaders within the Ika community.

We are deeply encouraged by the enthusiastic participation of individuals and private organizations in this crucial endeavor to elevate student morale and foster the overall development of our education sector.

It is important to remember that the paths to greatness are often paved with challenges. History reminds us that many celebrated figures encountered setbacks in their academic journeys. Therefore, I urge our students to never be discouraged, for the future holds boundless possibilities, and those who may seem last today can indeed become the best tomorrow.

Our nation's future rests significantly on the shoulders of our teachers, and it is our collective responsibility to provide them with unwavering support.

The inspiring story of Dr. Ben Carson, raised by a determined single mother, serves as a powerful illustration of the heights that can be reached through perseverance and dedication. His emergence as a world-renowned neurosurgeon underscores the potential that lies within each and every one of you. I implore you, our students, to embrace hard work and strive for excellence in all your endeavors.

Reflecting on my own formative years at Holy Infant Secondary School, I recall the invaluable experiences gained through participation in competitions such as the Cowbell Mathematics competition. These platforms, akin to the debate clubs of that era, played a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering critical thinking.

Drawing from the principles of chemistry, we understand that "no action is without a reaction." Similarly, your dedicated efforts are essential in creating a positive and impactful future for yourselves and our community.

I extend my sincere commendation to the Denkelly Charity and Empowerment Foundation for their vision and initiative in organizing this impactful challenge. As a government, we are steadfast in our commitment to partnering with non-governmental organizations that champion meaningful initiativese aimed at improving the lives and opportunities of the Ika community.

Finally, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all the participating students, Your dedication and hard work are truly commendable.

Thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE BRILLIANT PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
