PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, 31st January 2026, the Association of Resident Doctors, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ARD-ATBUTH), ably led by its hardworking President, Dr. Salisu Muhammad Muktar, received an Award of Appreciation from the national leadership of the Bauchi State Medical and Dental Students’ Association (BAMSA), under the stewardship of Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Idris.

This recognition not only underscores the role of ARD-ATBUTH as a dependable elder sister association to BAMSA _providing guidance, mentorship, and support when needed_ but also reflects the administration’s strong leadership vision. Under the leadership of the President and the Executive Council, the association continues to demonstrate an insightful understanding of leadership anchored on collaboration, mentorship, and the maintenance of cordial relationships with both baby and sister associations.

The current administration remains committed to fostering partnerships, offering guidance and support to emerging leaders, and strengthening professional unity across medical associations.

Warm regards,
Dr. Abubakar Bakiru Wabi

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

On behalf of the ARD ATBUTH led by Dr. Salisu Muhammad Mukhtar and our esteemed members, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the ARD BHUTH, NARD and the immediate family of one of our own, a heroine, a colleague, and a devoted medical doctor, Dr. Salome Oboyi over her demise while trying to care for her patients. We share in this painful loss and stand in solidarity with all who mourn her passing.

Dr. Salome, a Senior Registrar in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology BHUTH, embodied the noblest ideals of the medical profession. She was a selfless, compassionate, and dedicated practitioner who gave her knowledge, strength, and time in service to humanity. Her commitment to patient care, her professional integrity, and her quiet resilience distinguished her as a doctor who served not for recognition, but out of genuine devotion to life and duty.

Though she is no longer with us, her impact remains indelible. Her memories will continue to live on, in the lives she touched, the patients she cared for, and the colleagues she inspired through her conduct and dedication.

May her legacy of service, compassion, and professionalism continue to inspire us all.

APPRECIATION

On behalf of the ARD ATBUTH, under the able leadership of Dr. Salisu Muhammad Mukhtar, I extend our warm congratulations to the NARD NOC, led by the _indefatigable, supreme leader and Grand Commander of the Militant movement_, Dr. Muhammad Usman Sulaiman (PMUS), on the successful hosting of the NARD NEC meeting. By all accounts, the outing stood out as one of the most organised, impactful, and memorable NEC meetings in recent times.

Special commendation goes to the LOC, expertly coordinated by the ARD JUTH, for their remarkable hospitality, attention to detail, and seamless ex*****on of the entire programme. Your efforts truly reflected the strength of teamwork and dedication within NARD.

We sincerely pray that the PMUS-led administration continues to enjoy wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as it strives to deliver on its commitments and advance the collective welfare of members.

Thank you and God bless NARD!
