Business is Good, Business Is Better, Business is Best, But the STARTUP CAPITAL is BLOCK. It's a mountain to climb.
In early 2016, I got the advice to set up my own pharmaceutical outlet, a drug store, somewhere I can make all the money in the world.
I did my research and discovered that to own a standard Pharmacy Store, I'll have to raise 3million to 5million... Wow😪
My salary that was few thousands away from a hundred K couldn't be the source for this fund.
How many years will it take me to raise this huge capital? It was tough for me, I was in deep dilemma.
Trust me, it was tough, in October 2016, I ended up setting up a 1.8million naira drug outlet in Ibusa, which is now in Emevor now owned and managed by my sister Rita Dele .
Setting up the place wasn't the big deal, the was the profit I was getting from the establishment, which was so discouraging that I regretted spending such huge amount of money, only for me to sit in that fancy looking spot, waiting for few customers to visit before I make sales. Me that my leg don't know how to stay in one place 😂
It was frustrating. Sometimes a whole day, I'll sell #5,000 to #12,000
By the time I remove the cost of the stock, I'll be left with 2,000 to 5,000 profit a day.
Meanwhile my rent, staff salary and utilities ranges to approximately #2,200 a day. Wow, How will I cope...?. I was struggling to keep the place running, and the STARTUP capital sits there with interest pilling up due to the loan. Wahala be like watin again?
While in the office in 2017, I studied the Startup capital to start a network marketing business and the high profit return , I felt bad knowing that I wasted some good money in a premises that I couldn't manage. I failed.
