Jock Itch Rash is an infection in the area between the abdomen and the thigh on either side of the body. In other words, Jock Itch strikes in the ge***al area. In the medical field, it is commonly known as Tinea Cruris

Causes

👉 Jock Itch happens when a particular kind of yeast infection (fungus) grows and spreads out in the ge***al area.
👉 May be due to clothes rubbing against skin and the ge***al area being wet (from perspiration).

Transmission

Tinea Cruris is contagious, it can be caught from one person by skin contact or unwashed clothing. As a word of advice, avoid skin-to-skin contact and store your unwashed clothes in a different laundry basket to avoid other clothes to be contaminated.

Symptoms

Jock Itch symptoms include red scaly patches that may develop small bubbles filled with fluid. Note that those red patched are more reddish around the outside, while the center may appear as normal skin tone.

Prevention
👉 keep your skin clean and remove excess of humidity.
👉 Wear loose-fitting clothes, which include underwear. It is also important to wear your clothes only once and wash them to avoid germ development.
