The other day at work, my ADN wanted me to help her get something from the hospital’s canteen ând guess what guys? She also gave me m0ney to buy my own lunch 🥺🥺.
Initially, I said no because of home training🙈 but she insisted ând I jumped on it like my life depends on it ând it saved me a whole lot that day.
My ADN is so nice, easy to work with but str!ct, if you must work with her, you must be up and doing, âctive and willing to work and she’s teachable too.
Did I tell you guys my experience with her one certain time I worked in her unit, I had an emergency ând I was supposed to report to duty the next day ând guess what? I only worked with her once prior to the emergency, I didn’t take any official permission, I didn’t even call but guess what I did? I told my colleague to cover for me as me 🥺🥺(Students and interns could be a handful) I mean who does that?
In my mind, she may not noticed since I wasn’t the only intern working there but people of God, when my colleague reported, my ADN called her out to introduce herself, she said she was covering for me, she told her she doesn’t know her ând also sent her out, do you know why? What we did was so wrong ând we could be punished for that.
My other colleague called me and told me what happened but there’s no way I could be able to meet up that day, so I reported the next day but unfortunately she wasn’t the Chief on duty.
At the end of the day, she pardoned me but made it clear that such an act shouldn’t ever repeat itself âgain, y’all I felt so b âd for being a horr!ble intern but thank God she’s someone that always gives people some benefit of the doubt, so she didn’t let that act to defined how she sees me and that, I’m super grateful for.
Now, has your Chief ever gifted you, bought you lunch or gave you a lift?
Have you also been caught covering for someone or someone covering for you?
Be honest!
