Today let's talk about the possible causes of hypertension.
The major cause of hypertension is idiopathic meaning it is unknown however other possible causes could be:
1.Too much salty food
If you eat a lot of salty things (like chips, instant noodles, or processed foods), your body holds onto more water.
More water equals more pressure in the pipes.

2. Eating too much unhealthy food
Lots of oily, fatty, and junk foods can make the blood vessels narrow (like squeezing a pipe).
When the pipe is smaller, the pressure goes up.

3.Not moving your body
If you sit all day and don’t move or exercise, your heart and blood vessels get lazy and weak.
That can make it harder for blood to flow properly.

4. Too much stress or worry
When you’re always worried, angry, or scared your body stays tense like a tight rubber band.
This can make your blood pressure go up.

5. Smoking or alcohol intake
These can damage the blood vessels and make them stiff or narrow.

6. Genetics or family history
If your parents or grandparents have high blood pressure, you might get it too just like inheriting eye color.

7.Obesity or being overweight
Carrying too much weight makes your heart work extra hard, which increases pressure.

Today we will talk about hypertension.

Hypertension also known as high blood pressure is often called the “silent killer” because it can harm your body quietly, without giving you any warning signs or prior notice.

Imagine your body is like a house, and your blood vessels are like water pipes. Blood flows through these pipes to carry oxygen and nutrients everywhere.

Now, if the pressure of that blood is too high all the time, it’s like water rushing through pipes with too much force. Over time, those pipes can get damaged.

The tricky part is this:
Most people with hypertension feel completely fine. No pain, no sickness, nothing obvious. That’s why it’s “silent.” You could be going about your normal life while, inside your body, damage is slowly happening. If it’s not controlled, high blood pressure can lead to serious problems like:

1.Heart disease (your heart gets overworked)
2.Stroke (damage to the brain)
3.Kidney problems
4.Eye problems

The good news is, it can be controlled and even prevented by:

Eating healthy (less salt, more fruits and vegetables)

Staying active (moving your body regularly)

Avoiding too much alcohol and smoking

Check your blood pressure regularly, even when you feel okay.
