WHY IT IS UNHEALTHY TO ENTERTAIN AN EX

When it comes to the issue of Exes, I wish people will be honest and sincere. Who is an Ex, someone you have ended a love relationship with. In other words, the relationship is dead or has expired, it has no life so you don’t feed it. Who in their right sense will keep feeding a dead animal, knowing its dead.

Entertaining is feeding, once the animal eats the food then it is not dead. In another sense the one people call an Ex is not really an Ex because the relationship is still very much alive.

Again, when you are done with a relationship, it does not mean your brain has been formatted or the memories you had with your Ex has been deleted. Why will you want to give attention to someone you want to leave behind? Entertaining them means you don’t want to let them go.

The fact that you ended a relationship with someone does not make the person your enemy. Ideally, one is expected to learn from that relationship and move on. Leave the relationship in the past. An Ex is never a future or present of anyone unless the said person is not an Ex as perceived.

You are supposed to build your relationship with your new partner, bond with them, get to know them, create memories etc. The way we talk and interact with others show the kind of relationship you have with them. If the relationship is dead, there is nothing to talk about when your Ex calls or vice versa.

Strangely, we have people in committed relationships who are constantly entertaining their Exes, they talk with them for minutes and hours on end. Talking about what? The past of course, reliving the memories, missing each other, re-binding with them.

These are the people who defend their Exes, protect them and make their current partner feel like they mean nothing to them. Yet these people will not be happy if their partners entertain their Exes.

Old souls are differentiated souls because they are not in this world to live according to appearances. They don't follow a social script and aren't willing to just walk where most walk, especially if it goes against their heart's desire. An ancient soul carries the ancestral experience within itself, so everything it does is according to its intuition. For her, the synchronicity of life works by putting everything in its proper place. They may seem lonely, but in fact they are strong souls, who have such a deep contact with themselves that they don't stay long in the company of people who are not in tune with you.
They respect diversity, live with difference, know that everyone has something to teach, but do not mix with what makes no sense to them.
Old souls seem to have a hard time finding love. This is because they are patient souls. They know how sacred a relationship is, and therefore, they never want to be with someone “just for the sake of being”. Old souls want more than company, they want presence, and soul presence! They are looking for a true companion on the journey, someone who feeds the desire to evolve and grow within a relationship.
The love of an ancient Soul runs deep. They are authentic souls who want someone on the same level, someone who is not afraid to be who they are and who respects their individuality, someone who is not afraid to expose their world, to talk about their pains, hopes and afflictions. They are souls who know the nuances and pitfalls that a relationship carries, so they are not kidding when it comes to relationships. They run away from superficial, selfish or profiteering people.
But out of all this, what an Ancient Soul knows most is the power and strength of love. On their eternal journey they have already had contact with him numerous times, and they know that this force lives within themselves and each person. Therefore, a relationship for them has to be based on the power of this feeling, which gives meaning to life and stimulates everyone's growth and evolution.
An Ancient Soul seeks a relationship with the same maturity and wisdom they carry. It may take time, as they won't settle for less. But souls like that always find each other, and when this meeting happens, true love is manifested and makes up for any wait.
