What is Hepatitis?
Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver, commonly caused by viral infections (Hepatitis A, B, C, D, E), alcohol use, toxins, or autoimmune diseases.
Key Types of Viral Hepatitis:
Hepatitis A : Feco-oral transmission, usually self-limiting.
Hepatitis B: Bloodborne/s*xual transmission, preventable by vaccine.
Hepatitis C: Spread through blood, curable with antivirals but no vaccine.
Hepatitis D: Requires Hepatitis B to infect; vaccine against B prevents D.
Hepatitis E: Waterborne, dangerous in pregnancy.
