CONTINUATION

Type 2 Diabetes

With type 2 diabetes, your body doesn’t use insulin well and can’t keep blood sugar at normal levels. About 90-95% of people with diabetes have type 2. It develops over many years and is usually diagnosed in adults (but more and more in children, teens, and young adults). You may not notice any symptoms, so it’s important to get your blood sugar tested if you’re at risk. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed with healthy lifestyle changes, such as
Losing weight.Eating healthy food.Being active.

3 Gestational
During pregnancy, the body makes mordiabete hormone and goes through other changes such as weight gain. these changes cause the body to use insulin less effectively.
The blood sugar level is to return to normal after childbirth but if it doesn't the mother is at risk of Type2 diabetes.
The child will also have some complications like
*Excessive birth weight: this is due to the high sugar level
*Early (preterm) birth: labour may come before the expected time
*serious breathing difficulties
*low blood sugar
*Obesity and they are prone to Type 2 diabetes in future

4 Prediabetes
Prediabetes means you have a higher than normal blood sugar level. It's not high enough to be considered type 2 diabetes yet. But without lifestyle changes, adults and children with prediabetes are at high risk to develop type 2 diabetes..

PRONE TO
* pancreas failure
*leg and foot ulcer
*kidney diseases( Nephropathy)DISEASES/ CONDITIONS THEY ARE
*Oedema(legs)
*Nerve damage (Neropathy)
*Eye problem (Retinopathy)
*Gum disease and other mouth problems
*related conditions like cancer
*lower and upper limbs amputation if injury is not properly manage.

PREVENTION/MANAGEMENT

I never knew how serious diabetes can be, until I cared for one.
It goes beyond" having too much sugar in the body".

WHAT IS DIABETES
By WHO ( World Health Organization) it is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose level (Sugar level) which lead to serious damage to the body.
When food is taken the pancreas is to release insulin which will help convert the already digested food glucose into glycogen, which would be stored in the liver; leaving only a bit in the blood stream for energy. When the pancreas is not able to produce insulin or if it produce and the body tissue does not effectively use it, it leaves the already digested food (glucose) in the blood stream which is very dangerous to the body.
INSULIN is an hormone produce by the pancreas that help in regulating blood sugar.

NORMAL RANGE OF BLOOD GLUCOSE
FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) this should be check in the morning before eating : 70 to 100mg/dl is the normal range. When its above 125mg/dl changes in lifestyle is advised
RBS Random blood sugar: this should be check after eating .if its less than 140mg/dl its normal. But when it reads 200mg/dl its diabetic.

CAUSES
*insulin resistance
*Gene's and family history (inherited)
*Alcohol consumption
*Inactive lifestyle
*Overweight
*Hormonal disease
*Drugs and toxins
*liver disease e.g cirrhosis

SYMPTOMS OF DIABETES
The Frist three signs are the P3
Polyuria :frequent urination
* Polyphagia :increase appite
*Polydipsia :increased thirst
Others are ;
Blurred vision
unexplained weight loss
Tiredness and fatigue
Recurring infection
Numbness of the hand and feet
slow healing of cuts and buries
Ant feasting on the urine
A normal person is to have little or no sugar in the urine but due to the high level of sugar in the blood after undergoing Filtration in the kidney, the urine will still have sugar which ant feast on after urination

TYPES they are 4 main types
Type 1
Type 2
gestational
prediabetes
Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is thought to be caused by an autoimmune reaction (the body attacks itself by mistake). This reaction stops your body from making insulin. Approximately 5-10% of the people who have diabetes have type 1. Symptoms of type 1 diabetes often develop quickly. It’s usually diagnosed in children, teens, and young adults. If you have type 1 diabetes, you’ll need to take insulin every day to survive. Currently, no one knows how to prevent type 1 diabetes.

It's painful to say
Everyday millions of children are abuse all over d world, which is very sad to see.
Some are abuse mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and some are being molested by their adoptive parents making them mentally ill, leaving them with a life time truma.they have to go through all those troubles themselves having no one to console or guide them d right path.
I feel pain seeing those innocent children suffer, and I ask myself these questions
Why why why
Go into unprotected s*x when u know d consequences
Why give birth to d amount of children u know u can't train
Why let them face difficulties in life in such a tender age
Why let those innocent children cry
Please
Let's help stop d crying
Let's help stop d suffering
Let's help stop d abuse
Let's stop d cycle

Children.....leader, light and hope of a better tommorow ❤️
U can help put a smile on their face😊😊
