Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are fats that are naturally found in coconut and palm kernel oils.

MCTs means Medium Chain Triglycerides. They can be found in coconut oil, palm kernel oil and in dairy products like milk, yogurt and cheese.

If you are into Keto- dieting , you must have come across recommendations to get your dietary fats from foods with MCTs than LCTs (long chain triglycerides).

This is simply due the ease at which the body metabolizes MCTs than LCTs , without storing it up as fat.
MCTs doesn’t require the enzymes or bile acids for digestion and absorption as LCTs .This allows MCTs to go straight to the liver, where they are rapidly digested and absorbed and either used for immediate energy or turned into ketones.
