A passionate appeal for support:
This is Shaana Iortile, a 10 year old girl that was diagnosed of Anorectal malformation ( born without a**s). She got colostomy after birth ( opening on the abdomen) to enables her excrete f***s while waiting for the 2nd surgery (PSARP) and the 3rd( colostomy reversal).
The 2nd and 3rd surgery could not be achieved due to paucity of resources. She had to endure for 9 years till DR SIMON LIM foundation intervened.
We were able to mobilize for both surgeries but after series of pre surgery tests, she was diagnosed of Rectovesical fistula, shortened va**na on background of persistent cloaca( basically a complication that happened with 9 years of no intervention).
She has successfully undergone the 2 surgeries at the instance of the foundation after spending 2 months plus in the hospital. She has been discharged but the accumulative hospital bill has risen to N750,000 at National hospital Abuja. This after spending over N600,000 on the case.
This is an appeal to donate whatever ever amount to help her and her uncle who have already exhausted even their personal resources and are stranded at the hospital. God bless you all as you support.

Update on triplets:
I'm sad to announce that we lost one of the triplets. I have since move them to a facility (Lim clinic) for immunization that was not administered after birth.
The mother and children will be closely monitored and given postpartum care to avoid complications or another mortality.

Janet Aluemo of Isa Mustapha Agwai polytechnic,Lafia, Nasarawa state had her N61,724 school fees paid by DR SIMON LIM foundation . She made the list of 5 students that have been selected by the foundation for support to pay their tuition in tertiary institutions.
The option of getting a scholarship is dependent on her academic performance for this semester as we intend to continually play our role in building the educational capacity of Nigerian youths.
This gesture is achievable through an anonymous donor. May more doors open for those who are genuinely struggling to get education. www.dslfoundionng.org

For my late Mother: Shaana Iortile, a 9 year old girl that was born without a**s had a successful posterior sagittal anorectoplasty surgery.
She had a colostomy done when she was born but a follow up surgery wasn't done because of lack of money.
She has been defecating through the large intestine for the past 9 years till DR SIMON LIM foundation intervened.
In a couple of weeks she will return to National hospital for a colostomy reversal.
I sincerely thank GIPLC for making this possible to celebrate my late mother's birthday.

From my inbox. He wants his leg to be amputated at the cost of N250,000 so that he can get some relief 👇👇👇

"Good afternoon sir, hope you are doing great.
I really appreciate the work you are doing for the less privileged, the poor and the voiceless, only God almighty will reward you and others for the work you are doing for humanity.
In as much as I am aware that you have a lot to handle I can't help but bring to your attention the agony of a young man who desperately needs your help.
The man in the picture is known as Mr. TERFA GBEV, he hails from Gaav in Konshisha local government area of Benue state but based in Gboko.
Mr Terfa was a young man who was hustling in Port Harcourt, Rivers state to make ends meet.
Sometimes in 2001, he was knocked down why plying his trade as an okada man and sustained multiple fractures on his left leg.
He was taken to the hospital but later transported back to Gboko to handle the fractures traditionally.
While back home Mr. Terfa spent all he had saved to get a spouse and a small car for taxi business on the treatment of the affected leg.
His poor mum who sales yams in Gboko market also spent all her capital to see that her son was back on his feet without success, from one place of treatment to the other the case kept getting worse.
At a point the dreaded infection called "Ambi" was also affected on the leg, residents of the area avoided passing on the street that passed through his house because of the stench emanating from the leg.
Finally someone who treats "Ambi" came and treated the leg and revived it to the state it is now while part of the fractures has been partially healed.
At the moment, Terfa's main challenge now is that good Samaritan that will take him to the hospital for the leg to be amputated so that he can rest from the pains that he feels from it on daily basis.
As you can see, pus is always coming out from the leg with a stench and he feels unimaginable pains from it".
