Appreciation and motivation go hand-in-hand in life.
Fact is, appreciation fosters gratitude and admiration, driving positive behaviour and effort in our business and family relationships.
Recognizing team members and people you have put in leadership positions rather than undermining them, can help boosts morale and productivity as they are motivated to do more.
However, beware of encouraging mediocrity or sycophancy and ensure to strike a balance between appreciation and constructive feedback.
Always remember that out of every 12, there is a Judas with a hissing serpent whispering greed, mutiny, entitlement mindsets and envy.
Shaking the tree and rattling the cages every once in a while is always required for your own protection. Let them drop and go do it on there own if they can for a change. Never be afraid to cut off your naysayers and anyone who undermines your vision or work!
