Poor vision symptoms to look out for in children.
Some parents/guardians think children are too small to get their eyes examined. Other times, they reject the idea of their children/wards using glasses.
Findings have shown that refractive errors are also common in children hence the need for eye examination and correction.
If you find your child/ward showing the following symptoms, it's essential to have his/her eyes checked by a qualified optometrist:
1. Sitting very close to the television, tilting his/her head or squinting his/her eyes to focus.
2. Holding books or objects abnormally close to the face.
3. General lack of interest in reading which could be due to blurring of prints.
Early detection and subsequent correction is highly recommended so as to boost academic performance and confidence.
