Malaria is caused by four different kinds of parasites belonging to the plasmodium family,this is transmitted by female mosquitoes that carry the parasite in their bodies.When the mosquitoes bite a human,it injects a small amount of it's saliva into the human blood stream,the parasite in it's saliva travels through the person's blood stream to the liver where it will reproduce and eventually leave the liver and back to the blood stream and begin to cause the symptoms of malaria.
Malaria can also be transmitted through blood transfusion if the parasite are in the blood stream of the donor that is why it's always very important that the blood donors are often screened for the malaria parasite before they are allowed to give blood.
Symptoms of malaria goes as follows:
🌡️The first stage is characterised by uncontrollable shivering for like an hour followed by quick rise in temperature to like 106°F that is 41°C for a period of up to six hours, later the patient begins to sweat profusely and his or her temperature drops rapidly.
🔥Then fatigue, severe headache 🤒,nausea and vomiting 🤮will set in and the patient often fall asleep from exhaustion.
Those symptoms or stages are repeated the following day serious forms of malaria can result into death in a matter of hours because the parasite attack the person's red blood cells and change their structure,the cells become very sticky and begin to clump together,and may block blood vessels in vital organs like kidney and spleen and this organ may not function properly and the patient may fall into a coma and die.

Treatment of malaria: Malaria can be treated with different kinds of drugs,however treatment is complicated for the fact that some parasite have developed a resistance to some anti-malaria drugs so you may need to combine varieties of antibiotics.
