Sono-HSG is an ultrasound procedure in which saline is injected through the cervix into the uterine cavity to illustrate the inner shape of the uterus and degree of openess(patency) of the fallopian tubes.

Sono-HSG is most commonly performed in women experiencing infertility (both primary and secondary).
